Been looking for parts for the last 8 months and just can't catch a break !!

Needed a set of bolt thru steering arms, competition engineering had them, no more... Pete and Jake's had them (1008), no more, all the arms made today the bolt threads into which won't work for me as I'm building bicycle fenders and I need access to the lower bolts for fender brackets so i need bolt thru arms.... so dead in the water for now.

Need the rear wheel well patch panels for my 31 tudor, which at one time wasn't a problem, now I can't find a set anywhere. I can't stand the looks of the "replacements" they make for them today. I want a traditional look to the body and the replacement looks like I just grabbed a piece of sheet metal ran it thru my bead roller a couple times and said " that will work!"

I need the piece at the cowl on the driver's side that I "think" it's a sub rail extension that the lower cowl panel welds to, I see they make kits for that now but I only need the one piece and can't justify buying all 4 pieces for just the one especially based on cost, BUT I'm pretty sure several yrs ago I seen someone had separate replacement pieces for sale as part of the sub rails availability. Now I can't find anything..

There are other things but I'm again to the point of getting somewhere on the car then hitting a dead end. Just received my p&j super slide spring, started putting the front suspension together and now I need arms.

Stopped on the body a couple months ago due to lack of wheel well patch panels and finished frame instead, plan was to have a rolling frame by the end of the year...

Oh well, sorry just venting thru frustration.. been web surfing for the last 3 hours looking for parts...

    Hey @lostone,

If you find those wheelwell patch panels please reply to this post and let the rest of us know where to get them. I need the very same panels. I'm gonna have full fenders so it's not the end of the world if I can't find them but it sure would be nice to have the "real deal."

At one time I think Bert's had them but they aren't listed anymore.

    Many parts out of stock,
But @ same time all these parts are out there , you can find these parts not from average places,
Sedan outer panel, How much do you need , Only replace whats Needed,
I know lot easer to buy to replace
    But with very minimum Tools
    Can be duplicated and made,
Hammer , wood , bottle jack , press.

Are you referring to Firewall to subrail brace on inside ? If so hard item to find
Can be made easily in Vice with out a Brake .
Steer arms can be made from
    1/2 - 5/8 plate
Cardboard template , saw , band saw
Cutting Torch , Plasma tap & drill .
Can be as Nice as any premade if you put details in finishing .

In the build threads there are many
Creative parts made @ shop / home and how to when unable to buy a certain parts Not made or no longer .

I have some Drake parts that are on order since november 2024, every month I get a mail telling me it's gonna get shipped next month. I also have an intake manifold that's on order for 6 month.
The fun part is waiting to discover what will be the tariffs because it keeps changing.

I want to order a bunch of parts from the USA, but keep waiting for the tariffs to disappear. On the fence about heading down to Hershey, PA this Oct.

There are may Single minded pep's that think Racing , Old cars Road Tractors that are more then 15ish years old are Dangerous & we should Not be in control of steering
,gas pedal , they wanting all to be
    Self driving .
Hopefully ,, Quality comes back, pretty much of all aspects of our lives , Cheap made Junk , Company /Manufacturers will comeback with better Quality ,
It will be worth it ,
But If Not ,same cheep junk like to see Out of Business,
Maybe there also will be a trend all those machines riding along side walks
Bike lanes controlled by satellite GPS
Get squashed , flipped over, become missing , sold to scrapper

Was there in 2019 (first time), and a couple yrs ago. Was definitely smaller last time, but yeah, you need at least 2 days to cover it properly.

The flat type are good because they clear a dropped axle without clearancing them.

@atch I will do ! Was hopeful that they would show up but after months of "in stock ssoon" web pages I've given up.

@19Eddy30 yeah I could make some of it but the wheel wells are really bad so about a minimum of almost 3/4 of each panel is needed. Just get tired of making every piece.

@chrisp I've seen a few places taking pre orders on certain things but to be honest I expect many pre-orders to be canceled later on, not due to tarrifs but due to low demand and production being halted...

@48stude thank you !! That's what I need. The small drop ones should work! Running 4-bar front suspension and the deep drop put the tie rods right into the lower bars.

@19Eddy30 those pics are perfect example! I need the top picture style with the drop of the lower picture.

Want to thank everyone for their replies, much appreciated!!

@48stude I just ordered a set of the low dropped arms, hopefully they won't cancel the order do to "back ordered" or send me a email stating they should be back in stock next month !!

This allows me to move forward with the front suspension..

Thank you again for the links !!
