Chatted with both Gary and Dean, @Dino 64 at the Hot Rod Annual last year at Lincoln Speedway. So proud of BOTH of these guys for home-building two fabulous Hot Rods. They prove that with dedication and perseverance, it doesn't always take a professional shop to turn out some truly incredible cars. Thumbs-up to both of you. Love both rides.

Gary, you have put in the time on this car, and the results are just top notch. You're going to be inside the show this October, right?

    Yes- looking forward to it!

Meanwhile, the new interior is pretty spartan.
    I mostly followed @skipstich 's no-sew tech thread....
    No-Sew door panel tech...

... and for storage, copied 50's sports car doors' (non-waterproof) cubby holes.
door 59 lister jag 01.jpg door porsche 356.jpg door Triumph tr3.jpg seat ah sprite 59.jpg

    First, came butcher paper patterns.
    20250718_185024.jpg 20250718_195145.jpg

Then 1/8" thick plastic-coated hardboard. I cut it a bit large and "snuck up" on the final size.

Auveco #808 trim clips attach the doors.

3M-90 spray adhesive (expen$ive but seems worth it) attaches 3/8" foam to the hardboard.

I slightly beveled the foam edges with a Dremel.

Then Hobby Lobby black marine vinyl is glued to the foam. Its texture matches the seats.

Each cubby hole is backed by a vinyl covered panel.
    20250812_171224~2.jpg

Quarter panels are attached with wood screws into the B-posts and small bracket holding the upper rear corner.

Simple kick panels attach with sheetmetal screws.

    Done.:)
The foam is too thick to use the stock crank escutcheons.

    Thanks! Don't know yet.
Since the car has no trunk or glove compartment, I wanted some inconspicuous storage space.

Hey, Gary ,I have hide spaces under my seats and in the doors. Good for keys, registration, insurance. and more.

Have been in and out of this thread sporadically over the years. Raining and cold here today....so put a pot of coffee on, started on page 1 and got after it. Incredible attention to detail and craftsmanship. One hell of an achievement Gary and just an incredible build.....a bitchn', badass, beautiful hotrod.

Yes thats bad part of Sedan ,
Maybe GloveBox like 32 or so.
Or double line your tunnel pass shifter
To flip up , or maybe box in floor like Original battery box just shorter,
I just stuck papers in seat ,
I was pulled over One time , was asked for papers , I told the Man I need to get out so I could show paper's , Was Question why, because paper in seat .
My A still had Flip up front buckets.
Also Mine I left rear seat in & used the storage there ,

    Cardboard flooring templates.
    20250825_175555~2.jpg

1/4" thick rubber gym flooring; commonly used in weight rooms.
It's reasonably priced and is a great sound / heat insulator.
    20250825_180234.jpg

It's also dense. A box cutter & hole saw can cut it, whereas a gasket hole punch doesn't even leave a mark.
    20250826_191637~2.jpg 20250829_192529.jpg

Two-sided tape holds it in place.
    20250829_181456.jpg

Like Trinidad carpet in late '50's & early '60's kustoms, the gray flecks "really tie the room together".
