Technical What's This for?

These early '30 bumpers have been in the barn forever. Does anyone have a good idea what vehicle they were used on and why the adjustable mounting brackets??

Early cars came without bumpers, we're talking Teens and Twentys. Weed was a popular accessory brand. Not sure what yours is.

 

Maybe these were used by some of the fire truck manufacturers Bob.

 

Yup, probably some type of universal emergency equipment.

 

Off a Dodge , early low rider part , lower the car and raise the bumper so you would be legal with early bumper height laws .

Dodge thought of everything before we even knew we had to think about it!!
