After putting one beside the car…paint color from a factory touch up supply was way off . A guy at a car gathering aimed me to a local who mixed what he and I thought was correct….missed again. Found another that used BASF Limco I was trying to match. He gave it a shot and I went with it. The Max 2K went well with some cut and buff on a few lapped areas. I tried 3 different places for the stripping I had to mix to match to other color on the car. Wife and both liked this spot after many wipe offs. The 51 caps on our 56 car is my choice. Just need to mount up the Diamond Back white walls over at my sons on his machine and balancer; then swap off the AR Torque Thrusts for a little change. IMG_7115.jpeg

Getting ready to bolt the newly powder coated wheels w/poverty caps on the Ranch Wagon to see how they look with the fresh paint.

All complete…. Hard to take off American Torque Thrusts but 7 years I wanted a change. Our 56 Victoria looks someone else’s! Didn’t think it would be so different. The wife likes it as much as I do..I wonder what I’ll think of next! IMG_7126.jpeg IMG_7128.jpeg

Thanks but restorations don’t have off year hub caps, pinstriped wheels in 56, a Cal Rake, or a tuck & roll package tray. My intent for the last 15 years has been an all stock body, paint and factory emblems and stainless which I like on a mid fifties car. Any mechanical upgrade you can’t easily see is a big plus and our Ford has many. Thanks

I know your car is not factory stock, but from a untrained eye it would p*** for that. Without a mag wheel it puts it in a sleeper cl*** but the ones that know will pick up on that. You have a very well sorted car and I would be proud to own it as I'm sure you are.

Worked on the J, jets and 5 way harness changes and then went and topped off the fuel plus 5 in a jug in the 41

Before picking up pizza n wings for dinner in the 41 I was having a cold one and noticed the sky looked like a stage prop for a grade school play.

You asked for it. Things you can’t see. Wilwood front disc brakes, Explorer 8.8 rear end with F-150 drum brakes, 62 medium case Cruise-O-Matic, Newport electric wipers, converted stock appearing radio with hidden under car antenna, AC, dual quads with 1956 NASCAR Purolator air cleaner, 55-57 Thunderbird steel rocker covers with their own decal, stock 56 Pea**** broadcloth interior in 1955 Ford convertible pattern, replica 60’s Tach on the column, and probably some things I’ve forgotten. Never left alone for 15 years!

these are custom fit to work with the relocated pulleys, as is will require special bolts and the relatively rare stock bracket.
I suppose a universal setup could be made with a bit of research and development but I would encourage you to make your own custom mount.
