Before my time! You could buy kits to install them by the early 60s, so 1950s or earlier is my wild guess.

Depends on the car, and who owns it? If it's been on the road a long time and has lots of miles, then what are you worried about?

As for having a blower on a 32, and being pre-65 "hamb friendly", that depends on a whole bunch of things. If it's an old blower, with an old drive, and an old intake, then it should be fine. But if it's a modern blower with billet plates and drive parts, no so much. Pictures tell the story, a few words don't.

Do not know if asking Specifically
    A 6-71 ,
This looks to be a Gm 71 series ,
Before finding this pic ,I was thinking
57 , street driven , This pic earlier than that, & also was thinking would been a
    Timing Association ,Rodder //Racer .
Some one working in own shop installing one ..
I am not that old , even in 70's people kind did not know what was being down / built 20 miles away in small town's . We did not get a Private phone line at home until I believe 78,
(Party Line) and I'm located 15 ish air miles outside of DC. There was many things Not seen in Mag , Because
Mags /photographers did not Venture out side of Caif until around 53 ish ,
Hot Rod's was Frowned upon ,
Trouble , wrong side Tracks .This why Wally started NHRA.
Film not cheap , Population not that big especially after WW II . Out side of big citys Ny , Chicago and a few others ,
I believe / think Some Unknown did
    Gm 71 1947 ,
& I can see maybe even in 37 , maybe
Mid 30's , Just not on a street driven transportation out side of Truck .

They up the value by being there alone. How could more power and visual appeal possibly hurt the value? Now if it’s leaking oil and water and running crappy that will hurt the value. I guess I don’t fully understand your question.

having a blower will limit how many guys want to buy the car, but for those who do want it, it will increase the value.

I think most are afraid of the tune process,,, and multiple carbs...I just bought a new coyote powered truck...the dealer offers to put a blower on it and still have the warranty...

as for the question... side by side cars.. same build.. one with a blower motor.... which one would you buy...

    I wouldn't buy a car with a blower, but I've built a few.

but I also would not buy a car with an unblown engine that someone else built.

I think anybody that can build a motor would buy a blower motor, or any other for the parts...if its a deal or hard to get... take it apart and see what you got..put it back together and know what you got....

This car has a total all show no go blower motor....I could fart in a trash bag and make more boost..... I didn't count the clogs....... but it's way way under driven....looks cool though..
