After three mini strokes and heart failure in the past five years, I've been kind of gone, but guess what I'm getting better. I'm a woodgrainer, just wondering how Highlanders is. He is an artist, and I hope he is well. And Flash the kopper kart guy and others that are real builders anyway, half-dead guy checking in. Ok is Germ ok? Love this place
I forget things, but when Ryan went on his honeymoon. Someone hacked the forum. But in a good way, you're welcome. Our topless lady cruiser buddy told me I was in big trouble. Those were the days, don't enable flash on the forum, I said. LOL I'm sorry, so sorry If anyone remembers that, that's funny stuff. Hope everyone's well.
Hey there, @Jdee I still see @theHIGHLANDER posting. There was a recent thread about @Paul hitting 23 years. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/23-years.1340325/ @Germ posted in the past year, too. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/how-many-people-are-on-this-board-now.1338170/
Very cool, thanks. I was wondering about Uncle Ian. Miss him, he was so mad at me at Hersey for messing up his kit LOL. You know, voices in my head, and none of them like you. love it
There was a post in Paul's thread that mentioned Grenade Inspector. That was an old memory! I wanted to get past that milestone ASAP. You were in the first 600, I was in the first 50K! @Nads is still around.
Thanks for the responses, guys. I'm just getting back on my feet, trying to find an old car for me. Now I'm working on a 1937 Plymouth dashboard right now, what a pain in the *** I'll get it done. I feel welcomed back, thanks

@Jdee rumors of my death are greatly exaggerated. Still punching brutha, glad you are too. These latest variants came out exceptional, I think. Still all freehand brush. Hershey? If yes I'll look you up. 1st ones are 35 Packard, next 34 Ford. The last black n white is a pic of the original as seen in 33-4 Fords.
Hey, show me a 37 plymouth or a 38 dodoge what a pain in the ass. Love your work my friend. I'm working on a 37 now.
People want Walmart plastic-coated toys, kind of weird finishes right now nitrocellulose BlackBerry plastic AACA told me over restorations one of the biggest problems an automobile restoration
I did a few years, before finding the HAMB,on RuffRodders{ now long gone}I think most of the members there came to HAMB. It's been great fun here, both getting an giving info over the years..
This is an old guy's thread, just so you know, Highlander and I are old friends, no competition, just friends, old hot rods. It's a dashboard. yup made out of wood, you know when you dash the horses
@Jdee Did a grey Mopar back in the late 70s when Dad was still with us. Everything was still lacquer. 40s Buick, one of em was the gray base but the grain was a light brown. Weird af. Even got to do a 32 (?) Buick with that diamond gig in the center. Most rewarding was the 1950 Chapron bodied Delahaye for RAMA IX , King of Thialand. I can, with a right hand raised, say my work is fit for a king Wish I coulda saved the pics. Computer crash. Grain ran up and down vs across. It was kool. Good stuff man...
that is so cool man we are working in a Google world folks don't get us. And I did a Delahaye what a pain The seats were like cast. I will try and post a vid . The casts were so full of holes
