So they're using one of those kind of printer metal forming machine to manufacture their kits. That's pretty smart, the added bonus is they got rid of the roof hump.
I wonder how much they will sell the kit and in how many pieces it's gonna come. Will they include the rear fenders?Because sedan's rears are different.
Having done it it will be an interresting comparison.

Didn't know that they were using one of those machines; by the weld seams, I thought they were metal working the panels and fitting them on the wooden buck.

Nope all digital sheet metal formed. They say they are going to have chop kits for a bunch of different car models and conversion kits for 33 and 34 Fords as well at some point. Still a lot of work and skill to put it together but they are not making the panels by hand.

I didn't see all that; good use of those formed sections to make the complicated portions of their panels.

Yeah it's pretty cool actually. Get a crate with all the panels you need to chop or convert a car.

That '47 looks like it came from the factory as you see it ! I so wish Edsel could have lived to be as old as Henry was when he bought the farm. I would like to see the conversion posted, please. Excellent look, Bud.

Your ride is just so bitchin', Bud. Did you alter the contour of the top near the quarter window ? The top still flows despite the window being eliminated. I recall seeing a few conversions way back that "looked" converted. One was a '40 Ford coupe that really left a lot to the imagination, but these examples I've witnessed today look truly factory. Great job !

I definitely think that would look better chopped. The roof just looks too high and out of proportion

  17. anthony myrick, here's the patina car with paint. I watched this car getting built, but moved away before it was finished. I was disappointed with the fake patina, but it looks like it got the paint job it deserved. One other thing that was done when it was first built is it has suicide doors, I don't care for that either, but I would drive it.

I wonder what 2 door sedan doors would look like on this 3 window job.
