Andy, I'm thinking no, because the lifter bores and the way they orient the lifter to the cam could be a little off between the machine and any random engine. Well into adulthood I was told by my machinist not to swap cams and lifters from one engine to another for that reason.
I said it worked a lot when I was young, I knew no better!

There was a cam doctor that had a machine to break in a cam. The problem is there is no way to simulate the lifer location in your engine.

  3. Once I got the fuel to stop blowing out of the back vent of the front carb, all I really needed to do was put everything back to the way it was when I 1st put it together. Put the distributor back where I know it goes & Viola, it fired. Wiring looks like crap back by the coil, starter & distributor, but I will make all that stuff pretty over the winter. Clearly I was too far in my own head & should have stuck with the simplest answer is usually the right one.

    God Bless
    Bill

    Hey
If any of you guys have a set of window regulators and the and the chanels that the glass sit in for a 61 chevy 4 door I can use them.

My wagon is in need of them.
I would love to do some trading for them as I am running low on funds :)
I am planning on hopefully making a pretty good load of stuff to bring.

Name tags and Sharpies are in Clarence as we speak.

I've put about a hundred miles on Clarence yesterday and today just to make sure everything is working and up to snuff.

At this time tomorrow we'll be having supper at the country club with everyone who has arrived by then.

We arrived at Camp Ground in Salt Lick this afternoon, about 40 miles away. Will be moving over to the Park around noon tomorrow. It's been like waiting for Christmas. See everyone Thursday night for LloydFest Eve and Dinner. Ron

  14. We are less than 100 miles from Mt Sterling.

I called Kathy at the country club, told her I have a group of crazy fuckers coming to eat on Thursday at 7pm. She said she'd have us a big table ready. :D

It's 7:38 Thursday morning. Our scheduled departure time was 6:00. At 4:00 there was massive lightning and thunder, and the cat was screaming to be let in. Got up, let the cat in and he thanked Alyn by rubbing his soggy self all over her legs. He ate, then demanded to be let out. I woke up at 6:13, Alyn at 6:45. Cat is now sound asleep on my bed and if we're lucky, we can sneak out before he wakes up. See you tonight.

Just like the last two years I tried boys. Hopefully one of these years. I would have had to leave on Tuesday and I was trying right up to Saturday to make it work.
