I like when they change***** and don't tell anyone. Just like the grocery store.

Seems like a joke, but then it starts happening for real even in Arkansas. I left the AutoZone empty handed cause I couldn't think what kinda car would have the right hose on it.

Edit: The tattoo on the girl's face was distracting me also.

I went into an advance auto knowing I needed a 14mm spark plug chaser, knowing they would have one. The kid at the counter asked me if he could help me, so I asked him for one. He didn’t know what it was and actually got nasty with me. Wanted to sell me a wire brush. Next door autozone had one and knew what they were

I consider fuel line metal and fuel hose rubber, make sure the counter guy knows which one you want, because the rubber may have line printed on it:confused:

The Auto Zone near me said that they were going to stop carrying hard fuel/brake lines as soon as his stock was gone.

The only thing that's happening is they're forcing us to buy online... AFAIK, O'Reilly's still can get hard lines, and can get it overnight in most cases.

This is one of the smaller neighborhood Auto Zones and works off of POS (point of sale) so if it doesn’t sell then they move the inventory to one that does sell. The manager and I are pretty good friends and he keeps hounding me to come back to work as a part time****istant manager just so he can have a real parts guy there. This area has tons of hot rods but they go somewhere else for there needs. Being a POS store if they come then they will tailor the inventory to meet the needs.

But I’ve been retired for close to 25 years and really hate knowing that I have to get up to go to the workhouse but I do miss the hanging out and selling parts to gearheads. :D

I was just reading about some new cars that I guess the car can read the speed limit sign and then get on your**** somehow.

All you guys who complain, go help out and apply!
Don't forget, most are part-time at that wage to cover all the hours of operation.
EDIT: Yep, that's probably 200-300 a week, before taxes. Oh, and the counter person hates having to move stuff around, too. Corporate demands it to 'look fresh'.
That especially applies when you are looking for low pressure hose.

Since the last carburated new car sold in the US was in 1989.
