Starting to like it better. Made room and put it in the garage. Glass is actually in good shape.

Slowly getting barn smell out of it. Next trying the Baking Soda trick tip from Hamber.

    Very rare truck.
My Dad ordered a 65 F-250 and one of the colors listed on the order sheet
    was “primer”
    Never seen one with buckets.

I ordered a complete with wires ignition kit. Dist, wires, & curve tuning parts as well. The 352 sounds good when it runs periodically. After seeing the points plate tilting with mechanical adv, decided on electronic update.

Pretty good start. Bucket seats were a "Ranger" option. I think I've read somewhere that they were Falcon seats.
Gene Koning mentioned that a member here was in the middle of a 3000 mile road trip. That was me in "Ol' Furd." My 1965 F100.
We ended up going 3500 miles, with minimal issues, and none that required roadside repairs. When I got my truck the mechanicals were in far worse shape than yours. I hadn't run or been registered for 20 years. I didn't dink around with anything. I stripped it down to a bare cab and chassis and renovated every aspect.
I agree with the others. Get it running and driving, fix issues as they pop up, and do what you have to with the bed.

While mine did have a bed, it had sat for many years with debris....wet debris. Rotted the floor, int inner sidewalls and the top rails. I used the outer bed sides, and built a flatbed to use those because I liked the look of those. Picture below for.....well.....just because! In western Nevada, just east of the White mountains. I was told the seats are similar to Standard Ford Mustang, and the console is out of a 65 falcon. Interesting vehicle none the less. A curator with a registry told me this truck is 3mo earlier than any he has documented so far. It was purchased by the Cleveland Ohio Ford Dealer Network. Truck was only 30miles from Cleveland

Distributor - removal, following detailed FORD guidelines.

If this fails, the vehicle will be placed in the Remote Field Location I will call "Area 65".

Got 4 distributors kicking around all have pipe wrench marks on em, Fords are bad for seizing in the block, once you get it to turn with the wrench it’s still a bastard to get to move upward. I use a couple dowels to pry up while turning with the wrench and lots of wd40

Next will be trying to attach a slide hammer to this distributor shaft. Still soaking lower pilot bore with lubricants.

You need to rent an Air Ionizer/Ioniser.
When I worked at B&W Upholstery Shop in Kalamazoo Michigan the owner Bob Bickel had his Air Ionizer/Ioniser for over 30 years, it looked like a Red Box with a Fan inside to me but it was much more.
We were working on a 1970 Corvette 427/4 speed that sat in the owner's barn for a few year's (not sure how many) the rats ate through the floor and made a home inside, the owner wanted Bob to Reupholster everything. I was the lucky one that got picked to clean out all the interior and vacuum & wash down the inside. The Rat piss & poo smell was beyond terrible even after the wash down. The next day Bob carried over a Red Box with an extension cord put the Red Box inside on the floor rolled down the window just enough for the extension cord to go through then leanded in the Corvette again and turned on the Red Box and turned another dial then closed the door. Bob told me time to find something else to do until tomorrow at noon then you can open up the Corvette and "Take out the Ionizer" I had never heard of a Ionizer before that day. The next day at noon I did what Bob told me to do, when I opened the Corvettes door I was expecting that same gross smell but instead my breath was taken away from something else, Bob told me the Ionized Clean Air is why I couldn't breathe go outside for a few minutes.
I used the Ionizer every time an old car was brought into the Upholstery Shop, I always called it The Red Miracle Box.
The Ionizer will take away all the smells, just don't breathe the air inside the Truck until its had a chance to Air Out the Ionized Air bcuz it will make your lungs hurt I'm not really sure why but thats what the Ionized Air did to me.
You have a great looking Ford, I'll be watching your build.

Did the Fords come with Big & Small Back Windows like the 1960-66 C10's did?
    Sorry so many questions.

Putting new Ign to get it running better. Points plate was tilting on Vac Advance. Got the dreaded FE stuck distributor issue.

I do not know, this one. Although rough, has many rare options. A curator who has a registry, said it's the earliest VIN by months of the Ranger Option Custom Cab..

Was your Bench Seat as bad as this one?
This is my 2nd 63 C10 from Missouri, Im not looking forward to getting down & dirty inside her, I'm not 20 year's old anymore and the Rats, Mice & Red Squirrels have made a mess with droppings all over inside, on top of everything else the pervious owner put long ugly Shag Carpet on the floor year's ago and its full of piss & droppings & with the broken side window leaking water in for many year's it has soaked the piss & droppings deeper into the Bench Seat & Shag Carpet. Some hot warm days this week so this old man is diving in, 1st job 20220928_165425.jpg 20221008_182559.jpg 20221008_182608.jpg Beach Seat removal then I'll have to take a long break away from the Cab.
Good Luck on your Custom Ford Pickup it's going to be a great looking Truck when your finished.

I wanted the mustang seats for my wagon.
The Curator with the registry said it was built months before the Ranger Option was available.

Has headliner, door pockets, tank cover, radio was missing. Automatic Column - people shows interest.

    Are
You rebuilding a 65? This one needs to be restored, I'm not in need of a long term project. I couldn't even find a shop to do metal work.

The ionizer converts oxygen molecules to ozone, ie O2 to O3.

    smells like a swimming pool.

    Don’t breathe the stuff.

I bought an ionizer on Amazon eight or so years ago when we were rehabbing a house that had cat piss inside and moldy mouse infested insulation. It helped temporarily, but the final fix was to gut the place to the studs, including ripping out the subfloor.

Yep that's what Bob had me do too the 70 Corvette, everything was taken out, the Ionizer Bob had was amazing it was also from back in the 1950-60's when Bigger Ionizers were made in USA.
I would almost call it an Industrial Ionizer, the Biggest Car we used it on was a 1950's something Cadillac and a Checker Motors Extended Cab, but never used in a home. I think bcuz of the size of most Vehicle's the Ionizer work much better.
And yes never breathe the Air after the Ionizer was done Ionizing (if thats a real word?) or during Ionizing.
Thank You for explaining how the Ionizer worked, the Ionizer has always intrigued me.

    Distributor Removal Phase 3.
Tried 12mm die, little to tight starting, found 1/2-20 started perfect and cut nice with KROIL.

Have about 40ft lbs on nut. See if I can persuade lower portion out of block. Giving it time.

Something moved, after about 8hrs of constant load, washers were loose. Added about 1/4in of additional washers. Re-applied 40ft lbs torque, see what it looks like in morning. :)
