I was fortunate enough to buy this. The back story is supposedly 1 of 6 made. 1 of the six was a flatbed. A couple (?) of the others were trailers made to be towed behind one of these. Has anybody ever seen one before. Is there any literature out there floating around. Any help at all appreciated. I'm going to lightly modify the inside to haul my hot rod A pick up. and have a sleeping/shower/etc area. Probably end up with a wrap on it. There is only one other photo I've found, its a b&w, with 2 trucks in line front to rear. That's it. Thank you for looking.....

Might be a cool static location show truck...
Just looking at the pictures, I bet it was not very fun to drive! Can't imagine hooking two of them together and go out of town on the highway with them. Can you imagine driving into a head wind, or traveling with cross winds? WOW!

Wow.....if it is that rare it really would seem to deserve to be kept as is or restored......but it is yours. Have fun and keep us posted.

I'm unsure of the rarity. But, I'm hoping to learn more about it from someone here.

I have described some vehicles as having the aerodynamics of a file cabinet but I've never seen one that actually did until now. :D

Here is hoping you get a 40 mph tail wind going in both directions! You will probably have the World Fastest Wolfwagon to have ever ran there. :D

First of all, let me say BRAVO !

A great score indeed! As a person that has dealt with and owned a variety of older vintage trucks, lets just say, I know what it is and all of the things involved that will soak up a ton of time and money to get that kick ass rig to perform, anywhere near where you want it to be!

But I totally dig the weird and rare and hard to find rigs, such as you have there!
Don't give up and don't be discouraged, just stick with it, and don't be afraid to really be daring in your engineering and what you do to it to make it perform, which will be a lot no doubt!

Here are some of the cool rigs that are similar to your very cool, kick ass wolf wagon.

    s-l1600.jpg 1953-TWIN-COACH-Mayflower-Moving-Van-1.jpg
And this is the unit that you really want, but sadly only one was built, but you have to admit, its way beyond super cool!

I’m thinking a bt 6 Cummins . But if you want to stay IH a DT 466 or a blown bbc in the middle of the floor would cause some storage problems but would be a Wow factor. Look for a used school bus . Around here they sell for 1500-2500 . You’ll have a modern drive line . It’s Kool

I talked with a friend about the DT466. He has owned no less than 18 of them in various forms of production equipment and customs. They are definitely a bear. But, fuel economy stinks. I'm planning on driving and towing with this, so, I'm thinking 12valve Cummins. One thing it will not receive is an LS.

When your cool Wolf Wagon is finally road worthy, and safe to go places, your really going to have to get good at any approaches to various gas stations with awnings over the pump island.

So keep a 20ft tape measure handy for when you need it, and really pay attention to the overhead height signs out there on the roadways, they are not always accurate or updated when the roads have been repaved. Just something that you have to consider when you have a rig such as yours.
Ask me how I know, and NO this wasn't me!

I've thought of that! First thing I'll do is install new tires and get a measurement.

I’d like to see more pictures of it inside and out. How much work do you have ahead of you on this?
