    Hello,
I’m working on a 36 pickup, and I want to eliminate the windshield frame and glue the windshield directly to the cab. Does anyone have and tips, tricks, or photos on how to do this? Did you modify the cab opening? What rubber molding did you use around the glass? How did you finish off the surround on the inside of the cab? Any info would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Dan

Not sure you are going to find much info on that here. That is a street rod thing and this is a traditional hot rod forum.

Why do you desire to make it look like a Honda?

lol. I recall my dad telling me some 30/35 years ago to look into a one-pc windshield, for a ‘36 PU I had.
He had two in the mid/late 50’s.
One of them the crank stuck while in a rain and he couldn’t get the windshield to close.

The other he said whistled at speed.

They were just old trucks at the time, never asked him if he tried to fix either of them so can’t give an “end result”.
OP, just head over to the OT forum and ask again.

This truck will be a driver, and I want to minimize the potential for leaks and wind noise as much as reasonably possible.
I'll repost in the OT forum.
    Thanks

I remember a friend of mine did that back in the 70's, it leaked as much as the original frame did.

I think the go to material to do the glued in windshield was S-10 rubber. HRP

I glued my windshield in my 35 Ford pickup. nothing to do with streetrods and everything to do with freezing rain dripping on my feet, because I drove it every day for 17 years. I used the original windshield frame, a new weatherstrip, possibly from Carpenter, and 3M weather strippng glue. it was 33 years ago. Still doesnt leak and it looks factory. Its much hotter now that the windshield doesnt open
