Been a while since I updated this thread mainly because the car hasn’t been running. I finally had time to troubleshoot it today after being motivated by @Lloyd's paint & glass taking his 55 to the track. So, I found my failed part that seems to be shorted out keeping me from having fun the last few months…. I got a new one on order and should be back in business Monday.

I realize I never followed up on this. The coil didn’t fix it so seems my MSD box must be bad. I need to verify that and then likely send it off for repair. Car has been sitting for even longer now.

I use to use Mother's Mag Cleaner and #4 steelwool with very limited pressure, the slots turned out great then a coat of good wax every time I washed my 66 Chevy II kept the slots shinny looking for several year's.
    Sweet looking She-Velle G-Man.

can those old MSD boxes be repaired? The one in my 33 from the late 80s went bad.

This one is a pretty new 7AL-2. I think it is way beyond what this car needs, but what my buddy that owned it for a while chose to put in it. Not sure about repairing the old ones but seems the new ones can be.
