I'm trying to get an 83 Cutlass running for a friend. What I need to know is there an aftermarket non computer controlled distributor available for this 3.8 L V6? I plan on doing a search later tonight to see what I can find. Just hoping someone has already found one so I make sure I get the right one. Thanks.
It’s a Buick V6 ( distributor in front). You can use any Even fire Buick V6 distributor mid 1977 and up.

That might be what happened yo this one. 40,000 mile original car. Something happened to the motor. I'm not sure what that was, I wasn't there. I would have put a V8 in it if it was mine.
