Off topic rear engine Chevys??? Hmmm... All that I can think of are Corvairs. Which are pretty cool cars.

I've considered both dog dish caps and chrome wheel bullets. I have a set of 54 Olds caps. Also have a set of chrome center bullets. The chrome bullets are similar to what the R&C Dream Truck originally had in the 1950's, with the six lug wheels.
The Olds caps fit the six lug wheels, but I just couldn't put them on. Didn't want to scratch the red paint on the wheels... Yeah, I know. LOL!!!

The chrome bullets will need adapted to fit the wheels, and I just haven't gotten around to that, yet. By the way, I just got a pair of 1955 ILL. truck plates for it. Should get those put on this weekend... Unless installing the Pontiac / Olds rear axle in my 55 takes up all weekend.

Well, the Cameo has been done for a few years. It now has it's longest tow to date, at about 10 hours, one way. A few weeks ago, I trailered my 55 210 to the Tri Five Nats. in Bowling Green Kent. with the Cameo. This was starting about 30 miles south of Rockford ILL.
It did great, with driving at about 70 MPH on the interstates. This with the stock manual drum brakes and 3.90 rear axle. This is along with a mostly stock Power Pack 283.
I reinstalled the front bumper on the 55 to run with the Jr. Stock guys. It was LOTS of fun!!! The only thing that broke was an axle tie down strap at about 15 miles into the trip.
Next up is a tow to The Fallout Drags in Eau Claire Wis. and Rock Falls Raceway in a couple of weeks. It's only 1/2 the distance, though.

Event: FallOut Drags | Rock Falls Raceway
