Projects 62 409 20 Day to Great Bend KS

Well tried to to make a test hit on Mt Pleasant international and that was a fail. The front brake hoses are bad and not letting the front brakes release. Running to the big city now to pick up a pair. We need to be loaded tonight for the early departure in the morning. Isn't this stuff fun

 

New hoses on and it's fixed. Test hit went great. Sounded like I remember.

Sounds like I remember. This is coming out of a 7 year nap. Tomorrow will be the anniversary from 2014 when I first took this car under my care and had 20 days to make an event.

Just in case anyone is keeping score. I put the car on the scale, it weighs #3660 with me in it. That is 20 lbs lighter than it was before I started this rebuild. Shocked me.

No pass today sure did get a lot of time cleaning the car and I can say it was long overdue.
There was a lot of hope's it was going to happen but just didn't work out.
Let's hope tomorrow works out for the effort we have in this journey of this car.

 

Our season is quickly ending here, I was just looking at the remaining schedule and I don't see another test n tune listed. I might have to wait till next May to have another go with the Henry J.

Well the fun always has to come to an end. Made 5 passes and learned some things and found some things. All in all it was a success in my book. Hope you all enjoyed the journey with me.

Looks like you were consistently hitting your marks, both in ET and reaction time. The ride home probably had you smiling from ear to ear.

 

It was decent weekend even with the rain. I enjoyed meeting you and learning more about your car. Although my '53 isn't fast, we still had a great time and we drove it home. That's always good. Plans for mine is already in the works for next year.

 

Sure wish we could have stayed for today but my crew had to be home for work Monday. We are still 2 hours from home as I type.

I do believe the croud enjoyed the show.
