Been working on this more door 31 for a while, today went on a 40 mile trip... dang she's running good.. I put 32 grille... frnt/rr bumpers.. motor, fuel tank. whacha think?
Looks good but it appears there is an awful lot of stuff sticking out the rear end. Camera angle maybe?
When I did this one , I made my own Kit from 32 cut off's . Tank under father Higher , & little tilt for rake .
32 tanks are way more visible on a Model A than they are on a 32 or at least the "Look at me " factor plays big. Black paint should take care of a lot of that though.
I hauled this 31 to kanab utah... got there and the brake peddle went to the floor and it wouldn't start.... wanted to have it there because it's so dependable.....lol... hauled it back to vegas..
Not for sure , Your 31 rear shape @ bottom of body looks to be made different Then mine ,,, Yours looks more of a curve lower portion , Maybe looks that way because shinny pair , & silver reflecting making in a optical illusion.. I do not know enough about that part of rear body panel same ... My tank I made EFI before they where made , I was unable to stick father under , there was a body brace , & I did not want to modify to clear pump & I was using # 10 high flow smooth feed with # 8 high flow smooth return. Also I made fuel pick up inside towards rear so pump did not starve for fuel on hard accelerations .
Looks really good @ALLDONE...a vintage hop up, so the red tank is going on the sedan...black as suggested would tie in with the fenders in a wrap around like the top...red would match the rims but still look out of place, kinda sorta...it's your call. Sounds like the Shakedown is underway...have fun with it! Congratulations
When I get back to working on my '30 sedan I would like to put a 32 tank in the back. I like the look and not having a gas tank above my lap
I have to paint both tanks, and have to remove them the 31 will be painted black...might try to put frame horn covers also
