i'd have to dig the magazine out but i read about this one in r&c (i think) and it's got quite a story behind its building. if anyone knows please share.

  4. I've seen that car in person at the NSRA show in Springfield MO. a few years back. I remember the R&C (I think), maybe Street Rodder? article. The intake manifold has a story behind it, maybe the whole motor, but the intake has 4 carbs, and I think one is different than the other 3. Hopefully someone finds the article and we can get the facts straight. Just for the record, it's a super nice car, and I haven't seen it since.

Google Jimmy "Doc" Parson. The engine supposedly came from the Calvin Rice Dragster. Doc had a bunch of early rare speed equipment.

    A couple for @Tim_with_a_T .
His most recent posts indicate he's probably not going to bolt on a 471, but I know he likes the look.

Leaving the street rod nationals one year, I saw a t-bucket with a tunnel jammed sbc go from 50 mph to about 100 mph in the blink of an eye. It definitely changed my opinion on T buckets.
