I have a 67 Bonneville, that the previous owner lowered it by heating up the Springs and removing the sway bar. My question i just installed new springs and now the upper a arm rubs on my rims. Will installing a sway bar Fix this problem?

Are these stock wheels or stock sized(including backspacing/offset) wheels?

If the wheels are wide, smaller than stock diameter, or have a lot of positive offset, the now stock location of the control arms are now contacted by the wheels. Probably the same reason the sway bar was removed, the ends interfered with wheel fitment especially when turning.

People do odd things for a 'look'.

    EDIT:

Guess Wide Track wasn't the P.O.'s favorite era.

80's-90's monochromatic style had the wheels sucked in with positive offset, this was also during the Pro-Street era with wheels sucked under the car.

You might be able to keep the wheels if you use spacers.
    What's the width/offset?
