Good to see the truck in its natural habitat. Good luck & be safe. Wish I could be there to watch.

Are you getting any runs in? The salt looks loose & damp. Maybe just the light.

PXL_20250928_173719507.jpg The salt is very hard and dry.
Time to check the plugs and make some changes.

Marcia nice speed for your first ever pass on the salt. 115 MPH from a vintage PP is great. You and Frank I bet had some big smiles after your run which I bet you still have . :)

We are so happy. I was straight as an arrow.
We fattened it up and we're in line to go again.

It’s the GMC grille that lets that thing slice thru the salty air. A Chevy would be much slower. I’ll have this NOS GMC grille at Hershey- I hope to see you and Frank there! Be safe!!!

You must have been awful lucky. I looked for 20 years and only found a NOS cab over grill which didn't fit fortunately I knew someone with a cab over.

In 20 years of looking at Hersey only found a NOS cab over grill which didn"t fit a pickup. Fortunately I knew some one with a cab over.

Fantastic! All that hard work & and long hours were worth it. Several years ago a friend ran that class with a 302 in a '54 Chevy pickup. I don't think he hit 120.

Marcia your time slip above shows a much higher DA as well as a higher air temp compared to your earlier run. These higher numbers are not helpful to gaining speed. However the changes you and Frank did worked extremely well since your speeds on this time slip shows at all there timers you truck was a lot faster than your first run. The MPH gap to the record is not big at all Ill put money on your team gaining more speed as you go along. There's plenty more fun ahead for sure.

We spent 4 days pitted beside Marcia and Frank. Hard to believe HAMBers from 2 sides of this country could have so much in common and enjoy what we all do. Marcia took this of Frank and me. IMG_7210.jpeg

Just awesome...the size difference there between those two Hotrods really stands out. Reminds me of my Model A. Congrats to both of you and your Teams!!
