We were installing them on the new customized vans we did in 1976 at the dealership here in Cincinnati. Jake Sweeney Chevrolet
Honestly, my most disliked wheel since the wheel was invented. And they were everywhere, at one time. No dis meant to the fans of 'em....
These were the ugliest wheel of all time. Chevy copied the aftermarket & classed up the Berlinetta with turbines.
@Bill Fonzarelli - The Ex had a '76 base model with the ugly wheels, straight 6, auto. Reliable as a mule but slow as a toad.
I don't mind turbines. Ugly? Those chrome ones with holes around the middle and little bolts around the inside of the barrel. Pep Boys low end you see one or two of on all the field finds. Oh, and all the aluminum directionals. I will not find and post! Even the FWD bears are better. I can say that a large percentage of the new styles do not appeal in any way.
Da Bearsss Can you imagine yourself looking at wheels at the tire/wheel store and saying "oh, I want those!
