I have a 3100 with cracked side windows. I have the standard 3 set of clutch head bits and not one of them will fit to release the glass. I have one bit at 3/16, another at CB-V C3, & the last one is 5/32. So what is the correct size to do this, where can I order? Thanks!

are you talking about the screws that fit into the channel, that the roller on the regulator sides across? or some other screw?

or is it an older truck?

If it's that screw, it might be 1/4". I have a very old driver that fits is perfectly, the driver measures 0.240" on it's major diameter.

according to this worthpoint auction save, it is 1/4". And that matches the apparent numbering system of the drivers.

in my experience of stripping out these screws.i heated them burnt the paint out of the head of the screw and scrope out the corners as well.then the screwdriver fits better.some screws on the door i had to heat red hot/spray with water. reused the old omes om the doors and where they were visible.bought a bag of new ones from jim carter trucks as well as a screwdriver set

I am talking about what size bit fits the clutch head screws that hold the side windows on the track.

    Sorry no idea.

  14. I have used vise grips to break them loose before using the clutch head tool on AD doors. I have 1/4" bits that I can use a ratchet on and have stripped them out twisting real hard.

I thought I bought a driver that had every bit I needed for my '49 Chevy pickup. I looked today and can't find it. It wasn't a cheap junk set so I thought it might still be available if I got the brand name. I'll look harder tomorrow.
