^I'm calling bullshit on the 1970 ''Z28''. The automatic transmission gives it away.

You'd be wrong. It was available on the Z in '70 for the first time.

Yep 70 was the first official year a Automatic became an option. Only the 67-69 Z/28s were 4 speed only. Chevy toyed with doing a th350 option in 69, it was listed as an option on the paperwork Chevy submitted to the SCCA in 69 for the Trans Am season, but it never happened.

I was in the same camp, still am. But when I graduated in '73, I promptly went out and bought a clean '69 SS 396/350hp Chevelle (Ma wouldn't sign for no 4spds :(). Bench seat & column shifted turbo 400. Surprised the hell outta me, and quite a few others....3.73's were a perfect match for that combo!:D

Not disputing there's plenty of fast automatic cars! Mine was a small block 4 speed and lots of fun. 20251010_163319.jpg

For any of you Camaro guys, does anyone know what's going on with CRG? Website has been down for about a month doing an " upgrade".
