Is there a practical benefit for doing this or is it a ‘because I can’ mod? I could see doing this with modern twist-in bulbs, but having the bucket there seems to negate any gains.

  4. I'm not positive, yet I believe the fenders were hand made and the car ran skirts on the front wheels along with them on the rear so it may be a lot of work if you need to change the lights and the headlight trim was hand made and does not have screws to access it from the outside...

    If you're talking about this one, I don't think that's a Zephyr.
There's a '36 3 window coupe that I did the bodywork on that was posted here, originally it was a 2 dr sedan. Karl Fisher is converting a 4 dr Zephyr into a 3 window coupe.
What I want to say is : it's not because you see a 3w coupe of an existing car that it's not a conversion.

  10. 065D1CEA-E16B-49CC-B6F6-A394BF658DA8.jpeg So this is pretty amazing, can anyone help with a little back story? By the hood ornament maybe 37/38 Pontiac with a la salle grille and one off headlights? Just trying to learn…

The roof on that one looks more like a Merc. So no I wasn't referring to it.

  12. I agree John Aiello and crew built it. I am sure it will receive a beautiful paint job here soon.

  13. Yeah, so different yet looks amazing!!!

  14. Actually I vetted most of them and these were 4 doors beforehand. I wasn't there and can not say definitively, yet I believe they were conversions.
