How many people scraped the frost off the windows of their hotrod to drive it today? IMG_6133.jpeg

We had our first frost down here (1 hr from border) a few days ago. Been trying to enjoy the nice fall weather as much as possible. IMG_3765.jpeg

No frost yet. Over last weekend, it was in the mid 80s here, but Monday the temps started to drop. We got down to 39 last night, and it only made it to about 65 today. The rest of the week we are suppose to have the highs near 70 and the lows in the upper 40s. Its suppose to be back into the mid 70s by the end of the weekend.
Its been really dry around here this summer, most of the leaves falling to the ground are still a dull green.
I drive my truck year around, and it gets to park in a heated garage. The only time I need to scrape the windows is if I'm away from home when the frost rolls in.

It's been a case of wiping dew off the windows and body almost every day for the last few weeks now. Unless I wait until later when it warms up and it's gone.
But the forecast is for rains every day in the next week, so everything went inside yesterday, and I hooked up the trickle chargers, and put the Stabil in the tanks. It might be 7 months before they get driven again, so I filled gas tanks also before putting them to bed, and drove them one last time this season.

Picked buffalo IMG_8958.jpeg berries last night. Beautiful fall. Just had our first frost Sunday, really late. Sept 4th last year we had 3" of snow.

In my area, most of the fall colors have not yet arrived. The colors on the trees are still green, dead brown, or gone. Most of the leaves laying on the ground are still green! Very few reds and yellows yet.

I am wondering if we need to take a longer ride, outside of our 30 mile radius area?

I drive mine until they salt the roads,
Last year I made it to Christmas Eve before I had to park it up for the winter. IMG_5849.jpeg

We shot some video of the leaves yesterday, we’re still a week or two from peak colour here.

There is an ambience to the fall that is like no other...cool, no bugs, quiet...er, the fragrance, the colours are sometimes so brilliant you can feel it in a surreal way, the Hotrod runs cooler...less cars on the road...landscapes are overwhelmingly beautiful...sunsets are different and the air is more refreshing...

Looking at the pic if I would have put the camera at ground I would have been closer...

You also dress for it...but yesterday was near 75°F...

This was the first time we tried to replicate our logo image I Photoshopped a year or two ago...not very easy but close enough for what we had in mind...:)

Leaves haven’t started turning for fall yet in lovely Tennessee but they are falling off the trees because of the drought

Lord willing I’ll be taking out my woodie this week and getting some pictures of it in the fall weather at Shelby Farms. It’s the biggest urban forest/park in the nation and has tons of wildlife, lakes, and a playground that big kids like us can enjoy!! The last time I had it out there we had a deer walk up to and was checking out the “Stick on wheels”:)

We enjoyed driving through the Great Smokey Mountians this past weekend, the peak color change is a few more weeks away but there was a lot of fall colors Thursday, Friday & Saturday, Sunday was raining but still a nice ride. HRP

  28. Yesterday in Colorado Springs. I got lucky today here in Kansas, it wasn't quite cold enough. :)

  29. Yup, the other day there was frost on all the windows. My '50 gets to sit out on the driveway, so all the windows were frosted over. Frosty '50.jpg
