"rare Buffalo Disk Wheels" on the T look like Chevy disks to me, never heard of Buffalo disks.

Reason for the "custom" hub caps?

Is "Rust-Free" the name of a roof color?

The fifties coupes from all of the makers are so much better proportioned the their two door sedan brothers.

IMO, the '57 Ford 2-door sedan looked almost as good as a hardtop.

I think he is talking about real rust. Surface rust is rust free. Dad was a MOPAR guy. Tens of thousands of back seat miles in those things. The seat cover looks like the nylon replacements Dad used to buy a Sears or Monkey Wards. My brother & I would slide or butts back & forth to build a static charge and shock each other. At night you could see the arc light the back seat area.

  13. My friend Marty is really looking to sell this before it sits out again. He said $900 would probably buy it.
You can call him at four43...two55...five965. Thanks, Gene.

Deluxe was the base model and the custom was the fancy one with the wrap around trim like that one has. It also has aftermarket trim on the tops of the quarter panels that my dad has a set somewhere around here I haven’t found yet. Looks to be in pretty good condition!!

I could love this without that weird late model engine; looks pretty solid for 74 years young.

Different strokes for different folks, but to me, surface rust is not rust free....

    Seller's description
Please do not message me offers without looking at the car. These will be ignored. Not interested in dealing with "Flippers" The "is this available" message will be met with a generic response. This is a beautiful, original 1951 Buick Special Deluxe Tourback Sedanet, Model 48D. This is a true survivor — one-family owned since new — featuring the Buick fireball straight-8 engine and the optional Dynaflow automatic transmission. The car currently runs, drives and is either started or driven every weekend. Recent servicing within last 3+ years includes fluid changes, tune-up, radiator hoses, thermostat, tires, battery, brakes, and full fuel system overhaul and much more. I have a lot of receipts dating back to the 80's. Everything functions as it should except the factory AM radio. The exterior is solid, repainted in the original Sharon Green and presents very well. There is light patina and small surface rust on the bumpers. Factory Options: -Dynaflow automatic transmission -AM radio -Backup lamps -Turn Signals -Under seat heater & defroster -Interior rearview mirror and dual outside mirrors -Trunk light It does not have power steering or power brakes but they can be added in the future. This Buick is a head turner, I get waves, thumbs up and complements every time I take it out for a cruise. It has great bones, originality, and character. It's ideal for someone who wants to drive it and slowly restore or work on it as a hobby. As it sits, it’s an excellent driver-quality survivor for weekend cruises, car shows or parades. A rare find with authentic 1950s styling and provenance. Parts are still available from several vendors. It is showing rust in a few areas of the trunk and floors but it is not serious enough to cause concern. The muffler leaks (I may replace it soon), the engine and transmission do leak a little bit and the front suspension has a few components that are loose (all replacement parts still available) Price: $8,000, offers on site will be considered. AGAIN: Serious inquiries only, please. "Is this available" questions will receive generic response. Offers without seeing the car will be rejected = You are not serious.
