I guess I was not clear enough, my apologies, I am calling tie rod ends Ball joints, So I guess I am looking in for TIE ROD and DRAG LINK ends , I appreciate any help I can get. No MII stock straight axle Thank you
they have em on rockauto https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ford,1940,deluxe,3.6l+221cid+v8,303,steering,tie+rod+end,7428
ES416 R/L are the numbers for the tie rod ends. They are available from any parts store and Rock Auto. If you have the stock 40 Ford drag link, that should be available from most early Ford suppliers such as Joe's Antique Auto.
That's great. So now you are in a "good Moog?. Question: Your louvres look really good. How do you prevent water from dripping down onto the engine. Just curious.
As others said the tie rod ends are Moog ES416L and ES 416R that you can order locally and save waiting and shipping. Or you can order them on Amazon too. They are readily availble common parts that fit Fords and others up into the 60's and not "rare parts" so don't pay a rare parts price. You can buy one end for the drag link but have to go to a Vintage Ford parts house for the complete drag link. The short rod end that screws into the sleeve is another ES416L if the other end isn't worn out.
