The irony that I just shared the FB markeplace listing for it and reading your piece @J.Ukrop I'm by no way affiliated with the sale, but there's some current photos and details on the markeplace listing. https://www.facebook.com/groups/Hot...st_id=4192964350966294&rdid=hMoENbnfN2U8gM9n#
I’m broke at the moment… and while I’ve never been super motived to own a historical car, this is one I’d be down for.
Seem's Like I seen that roadster 4 mouth's or so for sale around 50k ? On Internet was not Facebook , In mid west .
Such a neat car! It was at the Hot Rod Hill Climb in 2017(?) Unless it was the other one? Aren’t there 2 similar cars? Or did I make that up? (Full disclosure, I only looked at the pics before posting…)
A little late to the party, but I this is the first car that came to mind when I saw the “Blue Hawaiian.” John Mumford’s Brizio-built ‘32 three-window, as seen in TRJ #30.
That's the one... Man, this whole time I thought this car was still on Oahu... right under my nose instead. I'd buy this thing if I had the dough. Timing really is everything.
Not to get too personal, but you know how a lot of the questions here are personal... Is buying a famous survivor car an issue for buying at over it's typical price or the weight of stewardship in having to restore or return it to a specific time without making it yours? I bet @Moriarity could talk about this. Public Service Announcement https://jalopyjournal.myshopify.com/collections/christmas-alliance-memberships
