So I been chasing this roadster body on facebook marketplace for a while now. It was first listed dusty with a frame, 32 grille and other parts for $1500 or best offer. I told the seller I would take it and he said it was already pending. Then I seen it was listed in Roscoe IL about a week later Just the body and had been cleaned up for $2750.00. Then when I seen "J.UKrop" feature post A Rod from Roscoe on it I messaged that seller and offered him $2500 for it and he replied and said it is pending sale until Monday and if the guy flakes he is going to let me know. I should have just tried to buy it as soon as I seen the new seller relist it. But it kinda killed it for me knowing I missed it for $1500 with all the other parts. Nothing wrong with what He is doing, He is most likely just doing a quick flip to get some cash to help fund other projects, I do it myself when I can. Fast forward to the other day when my son tells me it is back on there and another guy has it listed for $2800.00 well i message him and make a deal and now have a deposit on it and God willing I am supposed to go pick it up not this weekend but the following weekend. So as far as I know the roadster body that was playing hard to get for me will finally be mine in about 10 days. Because it keeps getting p***ed around buy the IL and WI guys, I have to wonder what is wrong with it? lol either way i am going to build it!
I would bet exhaust ran through them! I honestly think they probably bought it thinking it’s a cheap roadster body to turn into their hot rod. Then after realizing it’s actually pretty well put together and there is some sort of history decided that they’d feel guilty cutting it up and making it something else. Just my guess.
This is the best news I've heard on the H.A.M.B. in a long time. Please hit it with the heavy channel and run exhaust through those crazy tubes.
@J.Ukrop bing watch a couple hours of early mad fabricators society, get a clearance isle Halloween mask and he’s gonna be doing donuts in a hot rod in no time!
Heck yes, I'd salvage it. I'm just Shocked at what little Value our American Dollar has left in it! I'm so sorry you Young Guys have to start with near S**** Iron and dig into your Bank Count to drag renderings home. Man have I seen changes since I was a young builder.
Well I would bet that the previous buyers were high on dreams but low on ability. With all of the hacked up sections and missing subrails, they jumped in head first and realized that they are unable to do what is needed to build it correctly. In the right hands this is no problem. Sounds like the course has been corrected and hopefully the artwork stays, which is saying something because I am not a fan of any type of graphics on car paintwork, the subject matter reminds me of Lake Tahoe and it makes me feel fuzzy inside.
Well I've subscribed & I'm looking forward to watching this take shape! Haha that's perfect inspiration

I seen that listed, first thing I thought was I don't need another car you have to step over to get in, I'm getting to old for that ****. Lol
Time marker 7:59 I don’t think these are the first @bobbleed donuts but this tape looks very similar to the ones I remember forever ago. I’m gonna have to come check this thing out when it lands in the area
The Bob Ross Special. I've kept an eye on it every time it popped up on marketplace, I couldn't help but wonder if the doors were welded shut or just leaded over.
That reminds me of my roadster only mine was p***ed around many times before it ended up in my garage. Unknown to me many guys had it in their garages and one had even used it as a parts car back in the early seventies. One guy was mad when he found I had it because the guy he had sold it to promised to sell it back to him if he didn't want it anymore. Over the years many of the older hot rodders from my area told me the history of the car. It's nice to know they still out there.
