Maybe after they dug out whatever was parked along side of the 55 out, they knew better then to waste the effort of digging the 55 out? That 55 is buried pretty deep.

I know, I'm a 59 year old talentless hack, but the last ten years of SEMA have produced ENOUGH to blow this thread!!! The Kindig '69 Camaro? This wide body trend kinda fails, especially the front lights...
The highly anticipated Ring Bros Aston Martin? Beautiful execution, until it literally nails you it's basically a '26 Mustang!!!

For the low low price of $14,500.00 you could get this abortion of an F-1 and Impala crossbreed, even has a Chevrolet tailgate on it

Just looking at the hood nose - it looks like there are two "fenders" along side it - a perfect place for some "headlights."

That most reminds me of the Bullet Nose Studebaker (!)

Sometimes, people like me who are a natural born********* artist, with a flair for total misinformation, and the ability to think up an explanation instantly, can have fun with the gullible people at swap-meets!

I bought this at the Mount Vernon Washington swap-meet about 15 years ago!

    IMG_3799.jpg IMG_3800.jpg
As I was looking it over, the vendor said, if you can accurately tell me what it is, then its for sale to you, if you cant, then its not for sale to you.

I said, its the unit that is on a cable wire, that is part of the "LAMSON" system, that is sent up to the cashier, it gets its power from a hand operated inertia reel that sends it up the wire to the cashier, the wooden cup is for the change and the clip on the bottom is for the receipt!

He said, bingo, you are correct, so he sold it to me for $5.00.

"LAMSON" also made trolley messenger buckets as well, these are extremely rare!

There was a guy watching this transaction from about 10ft away, obviously he had picked it up and tried to identify it, and had failed.

He came over and asked me what it was, I could not resist.

I told him it was a belt tensioner for one of the rare McCulloch VS57 Superchargers, for a Studebaker Daytona from the 60s, that were custom made by "LAMSON".

He swallowed that definition, hook line and sinker, he never asked what the wooden part was, or what it did!

I fed him enough semi accurate information, that at some point, I am confident that he would find another one, at a swap-meet and then start the big argument with the vendor as to what he knew for sure what it was!

Go forth Fellow "HAMBERS" and have some fun spreading the word!
    Thanks from Dennis.

That is a cable hanger from a dry cleaners store for keeping the cloths movable from the turn of the century (1900s). Nowadays they are powered clothing racks. Geez, any idiot knows that.

    You win a cigar!
See if you can guess the accurate size of the wheel, this tire is mounted on!
    Go ahead, I will wait!
