The Sadd, Teague & Bently "Flying Brick". 268 in 1962. Saw it, and still can't believe it.

My Coupe following it's first time on the road for it's 1st shakedown run of about 2 or 3 miles. That was about 5 or 6 years and several thousand miles ago. The only major thing I've done with it since this photo was added a set of trim rings which really made it look more complete.

It's a beater more or less but it still starts conversations at the gas station, my bride likes it, and I still enjoy driving it.:D

PS.... I don't think I posted it before but forgive me if I have.

. . . back in the Old Days, hard-to-start cars could get push-started and swing around back to the Starting Line and stop, and get pushed off and away they go. I shot this photo and really liked it so I had an 8x10 print made for Al. Then the crew guys wanted one and I printed some more. Thru the years it's been in several magazines and books. No problem, I look at it almost every day.

    Hello,

Wow, I haven’t seen that photo for ages… Here is the original one that resides in my own photo files.
    upload_2025-11-19_2-34-49.png
When my wife and I met Lee Bright of the San Diego Prowlers Club, we were taken aback. Here was this huge guy with a quiet demeanor, but the look was one of intimidation. When we got to talking, he was the nicest guy in the world. My wife instantly took a liking to him as a “big bear” with a friendly smile and tone.

As we continued to talk, he was interested in trying to get his Model A Sedan Delivery in a magazine article. So, we sat and exchanged the details. At a nearby park a week later, we met for a photo shoot.
upload_2025-11-19_2-35-38.png It had a wonderful, striking color. The stance was what drew anyone to the hot rod. But, the cover was taken by some other build and so, there was an inside story and photos to boot.

upload_2025-11-19_2-36-21.png We were invited to sit inside the chopped sedan delivery and what a view out of the front. The upholstered seats and complete cave area was quiet when the door was closed. It felt very secure and private.
