The hamb is unbelievable with the cool rides that show up here. This showed up here last week. So what is the Pre-War Roadster. What's the engine. It looks like some sort of Overhead conversion with possibly a down Draft Windfield Carb ?? And what-a-bout the Wire wheels ?? This is a true Pre-War "Go-Job"...we didn't say Hot Rod Yet
Those are Buffalo wire wheels, look to be 20” or possibly 21” lock ring rims with wing type caps. Carb is definitely Winfield, most likely Model S. Don’t see anything on the ch***is or motor that is an obvious give away… but there are some lumps on the engine block that have me thinkin it’s a ‘24 - ‘26 ish Chebby. Radiator is Whippet
1925 Chev roadster of Fred Wise, photo from 1930-31. Radiator and shell were from a '28 Chev. Engine was '25 Chev with Olds 3-port head. Guy with foot on running board is Roy Richter
‘28 Chebby has a square profile radiator shell. Maybe it’s the camera angle or the lighting, but the OP shell sure looks a lot sleeker than a Chebby… Chebby; Whippet;
Some other shots of Fred's roadster, '28 Chev grille :edit: these were posted by Craig Wise, Fred's son.
