Nailhead, chrome firewall, candy red. Wow, change that brown interior to black and white and that’s perfect in my eyes. Maybe add a chrome V8-60 front axle?

There’s so much that’s cool about this little car. I’m guessing it’s a Dodge body from the windshield frame and body shape. I wonder if it still exists?

Joe Pirronello's 23 Dodge bucket, used in the movie "The Lively Set". It was still around as late 2011 in a somewhat different versiom.

That car with the vw frontend nailed it! And yet today, it would Be looked at as a pile, just because of the perception that it has the wrong front end in it.

A picture of and short write up on this car in the San Diego Union paper got me to my first car show in 1964, in the downtown Civic Concourse building.

The photo intrigued me enough to check Google because it appears to not have any sort of gas tank.
This is a car I recall as a kid from the magazines I bought by mowing lawns, it has definitely gone through some changes and owners (as cars do).
Lots of photos in link below, you need to check the shot of the magazine ad price.
Those days are like a long sailed ship for sure!

john's website has been a go-to for me for years. awesome stuff.

i grew up reading street rodder, et al... in the 70s so that era was a huge influence on me in spite of the 50s and 60s being a huge attraction.

even though i was listening to my parent's 45s from the late 50s and into the 60s i was building models of purple all chrome trikes and custom vans.

    love that dave bell art!

If you are like me you absorbed every word or whatever he had hiding in his drawings.

Thanks to the guy with the Scorpion, Big Ayers over on Bucketeers. He's here too, but can't remember his handle.

I agree. Not a huge fan of flatheads in T buckets (unless they’re GOW jobs) but that one is well done.
