The young lady is Maureen O’Sullivan, his co-star in Tarzan & His Mate. Here she is in an earlier film (in the middle):

I’m not sure what luxury car she is riding in, Cord L-29? The Dues (J449, a Murphy Beverly) apparently didn’t belong to either Weissmuller or O’Sullivan. Sadly, only the engine survives.

IMG_3316.jpeg , that 32 with the transparent engine is beautiful. Looks a lot like this one, but with a chrome engine instead.

  10. The Imperial Palace has, or had one of the largest Duesenberg collections in the world. The museum is on the eight or ninth floor of the casino in Las Vegas. It's well worth a visit. They also have a bar in the Duesenberg room that serves the worlds best ****** Mary, according to them, and they are pretty good. I've had a few encounters with Duesenbergs, a buddy in Portland had one for awhile, and when I was in Highschool I took a field trip to San Francisco. Sitting behind a record store was a Duesenberg under a tarp. That was in the 70's. Jay Leno has a few, he's found them in some pretty unusual places.

  11. Invisible paint. I bought some but it didn't work. It's hard to use, if you set it down it's difficult to find.

Yes, same car. That is Lloyd Baken's 3W. It was in Portland, I believe that's where the engineless picture was taken, for many years with a flathead.

Looks like someone fixed that matte paint/primer while they were at it. I haven't seen it around, I'd remember that one.

I think I will add it to the most beautiful 32 thread.

That car is now in the 3 Dog Garage collection, and currently on display in the AACA museum in Hershey through the middle of April. It certainly is impressive!! IMG_7879.jpeg IMG_7878.jpeg

Little bit of tire chatter. Still want to hear a video of that car running!

I watched it run several times as a teenager at Detroit Dragway. It was very loud and looked very different from the other cars at that time. Early days of the Ram Chargers who eventually lead the charge for the Super Stock cl***.

IIRC Julian Alvarez, RIP, bought it after it was rear ended, is it still in the family?
