I haven't watched a NASCAR race in decades and decades, so I was unfamiliar with Greg until he started flying relief missions into Western NC. That made me a Greg Biffle fan. So sad to hear of this accident and the loss of his entire family. RIP, Greg. You had a big heart.

Someone posted a detailed graphic of the flight path. Looked like that pilot was fighting it from the start. They were 1-200 yards short of the runway but it didn't seem like he had much control at that point.

I live by the MI track so got to see him race a few times.

Apparently his wife texted her mother "we're in trouble" from the plane, so they knew it was coming, which is terrible.

    RIP

Seeing the flight path and knowing they were in the air for apparently 10-ish minutes, that must have been terrifying for them.

Ya, horrible accident. Best to the families.. Greg must have fought the plane to turn it around. So sad.

For a former HAMB member and all-around great car guy and human why did he get moved to the Off Topic forum? Is that where we bury all our dead now?

Thanks Marty, as you know Greg and family were friends of ours but they were very close friends with my Son and his family, Andy ran several of his off road sand series events for him over the years so this is a real kick in the guts for all of us. Greg and Christina were just super people loved by all of those that were fortunate enough to know them. I met Greg in the 90's when he was building race car ch***is' out of his folks shop here in Vancouver, he was one of our customers at AA Cl***ics so yes he was one of the few racers that could do it all and drive too! I last saw him a few months ago when he was in town to visit his Mom, he sat in my old Stude Bonneville car and gave me **** about going 200 mph in something that old, we had a real good laugh over it! Greg and family will truly be greatly missed by all of us, R.I.P. Biffles God Speed, hope to see you all on the flip side!

I have read Greg was the pilot. Now the NTSB say they are not sure who was the pilot in control. Do you know who the pilot was?

They are unsure. 3 people on the flight were pilots.

I've read that his pilot and pilot's son were flying it.

The NTSB is still trying to determine who was in the left (pilot's) seat, but apparently they think they know now. I'd be surprised if it was biff.

Cleetus made a nice tribute video to Greg, for anyone interested in watching it. Less than a minute in and I was in full tears, fair warning.

Having watched a bunch of Greg's YouTube videos with him and his family the past year (and seeing him in Cleetus' videos), it is heartbreaking that his wonderful family (and friends) have been wiped off the earth so suddenly.

Greg's YouTube channel is here, for anyone that wants to see who he was. https://youtube.com/@gbiffle?si=7VUCftGf1oRZJFOU
