    Man, I like that!
Those are some solid old bodies and that one is in great shape.
I'm quite happy to be wrong about the Airflow. lol

    Thanks fellas.
Lots to pull together - winter project.
No promises all will get done by spring, the list is long. The exhaust is the biggest thing.
The rest is on a smaller scale that I'll take one at a time.
Being retired after the first = will afford me more time I haven't had before.
Changed the plugs - fired right up.
No choke, even though it's 55 in my shop, still had to feather it to warm up.
No exhaust ( which is on the list) but it sounded ok... a bit loud of course.

    Thanks Anthony, but undecided.
I lean towards a slight forward rake ( like it has now) vs a **** drop dragger but I have the skirts - I think - - I cleaned out a bunch of stuff out of the trunk. I'll see.
But I've been know to change my mind more than once to many more times......:)
I get the visions as you know , brain stare with eyes closed for 5-10-15 minutes or more.

    Which one ?
Are your referring to the square opening where the bumper brackets were on both lower fenders or am I not seeing something ? The fronts are the same way. Square openings were the bumper bracket connected.
I don't plan on doing any major work to the body except that p***enger door rocker - that's it.
The rest is rock solid hard with no crusties anywhere.
The roof on the drivers side towards the slope has a little wave but I'm not touching it.
    It ads to the character.
My days of smooth ended after the last diaper I changed on my sons butf 33 years ago.
I've done my compe***ion show time many years ago.
I just like to drive to events and see buddies have a beverage and enjoy time together,

Didn't notice it but easy answer - no at this time.
Not immediately important, it matches the owner....me.
My left hip is shot . I walk out of whack, we match.:)
Eventually a full hip rebuild / replace but honestly won't be tearing into the car in the near future.
I just want to get it road worthy first and foremost.

I may as you mentioned pull and push into shape if it isn't too much effort.

Hey - Thanks for the Raybuck link - I was going to make some.
I don't plan to run any bumpers so this may work to plug it internally / not stick out.
    This works.
    Thanks !

    They are coming out.
    It's on the list.
Today was changing plugs, ( which was a *****) had to jack it up and get to them from underneath,.
Started it up to warm it up. Idle adjust. No exhaust from manifolds back. Loud.
Tweaked drivers window- not rolling down - have to look up inside in more detail to see if the channel / arms is moving with the handle or not.

I appreciate the feedback but don’t sweat it fellas.
How about appreciate as is ?
For all I know it could have come from the factory like that.
Wouldn’t want to mess up a factory fresh ( 87 year old ) car now, would we ? ;)

I’ll pull and push them into shape if it ain’t too much of a PIA.
I’m not looking to tear this apart and create a whole bunch of work for me.
Or hey, better yet, come on over to my shop and we’ll tackle it together and I’ll even buy lunch. :)

Enjoy its flaws, there’s so few of them. :D

I say all this light heartedly fellas.
I enjoy your feedback and collaboration.

Priority is get it road worthy / drivable.

I'm on board with all of this, you got it figured out Cob!
Be a damn shame to start pealing trim off, smoothing, dropping etc,etc...
That's things got a long, storied past, to erase it would criminal IMO. Get it like you've outlined, put it on the rolling stock of your choice, and commence to drive the wheels off it! I like where this is headed for sure. :D

    It’s all good.
I appreciate Rod and Ben’s feed back.
To be completely frank, I hadn’t noticed it until Rod mentioned it.
But that’s ok. some fellas see things I don’t see. A fresh eyes look / approach.

Eventually I’ll take a closer look but my approach is a minimal push or pull if possible.
If not possible, I’m not taking anything off and it’s good enough.
At that point I know Rod and Ben appreciate as is.

I forgot a pic of the spacious and luxurious interior. HaHaHa. As basic as they get.

Gotta love the vice grip door handle and the extravagant gear shift and the very cool original dodge wings on the dash panel.
This is going to be one hell of an exercise in going to swap meets to find the pieces that will complete the dash panel !

How about a 40's Dodge 3rd brake light in the center of trunk lid?

CCC, glad you are taking it as intended. :D
I was NOT trying to denigrate your fine automobile or push you down the slippery slope of bodywork perfection, teasing old metal into shape and gaps the hand built prototype couldn't even match!
It was just a "Hmm, that sticks out and I bet it's a 5 minute fix" thought.
Carry on with getting the car to run, drive and stop, which is the point! :D

Centerfold of Rodder's Journal in bare metal is something a lot of us stare at, but few actually aspire to! ;)

Funny you should say that but there are 2 round pods in a 5 gallon bucket I pulled out of the trunk haven’t looked at super close yet. I’ll take a pic when I get there.

Hyper glance - 60’s Valiant ones came to mind.
    IMG_5087.jpeg
Something like this. Just the 2 round pods, not the surrounding.

It was amazing how many variations of the Ram hood ornament that MOPAR came up with over the years.

    It’s all good fellas.
I didn’t take Rods question about the rear fenders as a negative, more of I didn’t see it and him catching it and I’m like hmmm ok…. If it’s not a PIA to pull / push to shape it up, no biggy.
If it’s a PIA, love it as it is.

    Rod’s good.
    It’s all good fellas.
