Hola, estoy reconsteuyendo mi Cadillac del 60 y ya tengo el primer desafio, el cambio esta totalmente quemado, he visto mulitud de kit de reparaciones pero no se cual es el correcto,ademas en los kits no vienen los tambores que van en la caja de cambios y casi se**** que tambien tendre que cambiarlos. Como decis por ahí hay que tener muchas ganas de Cadillac para mentir con uno.. Pero este es mi caso!!! Tampoco encontre información sobre el metodo de funcionamiento y reparacion de la Jetaway Estoy barajando tambien la posibilidad de buscar una caja usada,pero como saber si es de fiar? El envio a España es sumamente caro como para comprar algo que no este claro si funciona, Otra opción seria adaptar una Th350,400 o 700, que si se encuentran en España pero no se si hay kits de adaptacion para ello, alguien ha adaptado algo asi? Alguien sabe de un Jetaway funcional a n precio razonable? Espero vuestra ayuda,gracias a todos!!!

The Jetaway trans changed styles somewhere along the 1960 line, so check which type you have (I think I remember a "315" in there somewhere,) it will be on the nameplate. From there I would get my hands on the manual for your car, the trans section is very comprehensive. As far as getting your hands on a used unit, it might pay to check in places like the U.K. or Sweden. Hundreds of Caddy's imported into these countries, good luck with your search!
Start taking it apart before you think of ordering parts. Get the factory repair manual and a parts list with part numbers (dealer service department order list for mechanics back in the day). You will be surprised at what is reusable and what is not. All my hard parts were fine but every bushing was shot. Only then will you know what to start searching for. Going to also need a few specialty tools to do the job, manual will list them. Some have a work around, some you have to have the tool. It was built by a human, so a man or woman can take it apart and put it back together with the proper tools and knowledge from the manual.
Here is link to an old thread concerning Jetaway ******s. They definitely were never performance units like their Dual Range Hydramatic predecessors. Jetaways are 4-speed as were the Dual Range but in addition to the main fluid coupling, they use a second fluid coupling in place of a front disk clutch pack. Try Ebay, see if you can get the complete 1959/1960 book as there is a 1959 main book, and a 1960 Supplement. They are also available on CD (A lot cheaper for postage, as the 2 books are very heavy).
