So, if you bought a 2 year subscription in December, do you get the latest edition already in print that just came out in November/ December?

Or do you get the next newest one next quarter ?

I sent a request a few weeks ago for an update with no answer yet.

    I’m not *****ing, just wondering.

I have the very first original publications 1-20 when they originally came out, just looking forward to new publications again.

    Thanks,
    Cob

I contacted Hot Rod Ron and after a few days I received an email from TRJ customer service:

    Hi Larry,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Your Lifetime subscription is all good.

The international subscriptions leave from a different mailing house than the domestic copies and are taking longer than expected to get out, but they are on the way.

Sorry for the inconvenience, we are working hard to get everyone caught up.

Thanks for your patience and support, we appreciate it.

    Kind regards,

    Thanks Ron.
And now all that remains is to wait to see how long it takes for them to follow through with a delivery.
I’m also hoping they can sort it out and be able to send them out on a slightly more regular basis.

    Ron helped me also.

    Hi William,
Thanks for reaching out regarding your susbcription.

Below, in cryptic format, is you order from April 2019 for a two-year renewal.

Unfortunately the database was down and did not update this, we can rectify this now, but can you tell us what the last issue you received was.

Sorry for the inconvenience, we are working hard to get caught up.

Thanks for your patience and support, we appreciate it.

@Hot Rod Ron Just got an update on the phone and I did get an email reply a while back that just hit.
I have posted about the issues, this time, it's good news. So I do have #87 and I did get a reply on my subscription. I'm caught up for now. I even got a few emails from friends from the past couple months that also popped up. Strange.

I'm in the same situation ... I had always been a Barnes and Noble buyer and miss that. I subscribed on the same December deal with hopes that more subscription sales would help them survive. I will PM you Ron.

    cob,
Thanks to Ron’s efforts I received the same message today. I subscribed to help put a little cash flow into there magazine to help it survive for us all to enjoy. Without new subscribers they will never recover with the poor choice to offer a lifetime subscription.

I hate to say it but finally admitting they didn't even send all the US subscribers their magazines in December is not a good sign for anyone. Sounds and awful lot like they ship batches when they have collected enough money from new subscriptions to pay for it. If that is the case it is not very likely they are going to survive because you can only rob Peter to pay Paul for so long. And mailing individual copies to those that make the most noise or happen to be on here is an even less economical way to do it which will make things even worse.

When(if) they finally fold, you can be the first to say I told you so. But, I hope you never get to say it. I sent in my Lifetime Subscription eyes wide open that it might just be a contribution. So why not be an active supported?

Dude you make me laugh. You are the first one to jump on companies in any thread where anyone says they didn't get their stuff but defend these clowns like you have shares in the company. At this point if there aren't actually committing fraud they are certainly flirting with it. Not very legal to not have supplied hundreds of customers product that they have paid for (years ago) and still be selling to new customers. So no I will not continue to support that.

Can’t remember which thread I’ve been posting on but I figure it’s all the same people so I just picked one.

Sent the rodders journal an email to the provided customer service address and after a few weeks of no contact decided to take @Hot Rod Ron up on his offer of connecting dots and sent him my info via the hamb because I know Ryan keeps this **** locked down.

As soon as Ron had my info it was maybe a day or two and I got a reply from the rodders journal. They were not replying to my email I sent recently but from one in 2022. But either way I got a response and acknowledgement.

They sent the magazine to an address I haven't lived at for five years. They will send me a new copy when the “second bulk” shipment goes out.

I’ve seen people question why there is a second bulk shipment, I’ve seen people mention some sort of software glitch, and as much as I’d like to just never read these threads again I’ve watched and kept note of who’s missing stuff and what resolutions they get. I’m gonna say if you have changed your address from the original subscription address in the last 5+ years they lost your new address and had no idea who has or hasn’t moved. That would be plenty enough people to create not only these threads but a second bulk shipment.

I don’t like to speculate but in the vacuum of information what else are we to do.

I don’t think they are purposely with holding copy’s of the magazines, I’m glad Ron is being the most helpful person in this situation and look forward to getting my copy.

If you havnt got your copy and live in the USA I would ***ume it went to where ever you used to live and if you want this or any future copy’s to show up to your current address Ron is gonna be your way to making that happen.

*** back wards? Sure is. But do you want the magazine or not.

Ryan should be commended for the way this place handles people. Wouldn't be here if it was like the big places. Noticed recently the list to the side. Currently it's Total: 20,883 (members: 339, guests: 20,191, robots: 353) Glad the attack has dropped.

Ron is trying and is making a difference. I hope this is noted by TRJ and that the business both makes it and that going forward they place a greater emphasis on honest communication. It's even more important when stuff is going sideways, which adds to the workload.

To illustrate this, Ryan had an issue. He implemented a solution, kept the site up and posted why we had a different experience (the human check). When the attack dropped or another solution was found, the check disappeared. Normalcy was brought back and all was quiet.

I have been emailing TRJ regularly since mid December about my #87. Saw this thread on Mar. 5 and sent Ron a PM since he showed up as the contact man. He jumped on my request and I got an answer from Steve C. later that day. Just a personal commitment to ship my copy in the next mailing, no date, but at least its something.
    Thanks, Ron!

Same here. Thanks to Hot Rod Ron for his efforts to help save the RJ. I feel the lifetime subscription offer was a bad business decision and created a major hurdle for them financially and the only way they can survive is going to be new subscription and retail store sales. If some of you guys are going to continue to bash them and create a do not support them they will have a hard time succeeding. Like many others, I subscribed in January to support them getting thru this. I think we all have spent more on a bad meal or attending a sporting event and were able to move on .... continued negative advertising is just going to make it harder to dig out of the hole they are in.

While I agree that we should support a great product and that the amount of money each individual risks is small in the grand scheme of things, goodwill has been lost due to a consistent lack of communication.
