I was planning to cut some oxen outlines from masonite, or perhaps just draw them on.

Yes, the oxen would be much better, and more historically correct.
Sometimes my history lesson needs a bit of help... ;)

The wagon cover will need to be REALLY sturdy to survive the wind at cruising speed.

Spoken like someone who has tarped over something on a trailer!
I have had a radio antenna torn out of a fender doing that! I bet Jim has experience there too.

I was planning to make it easily removable and keep it stowed away at highway speeds :)

  10. I embrace the concept and the challenge. Checkout shurlock tarp systems for farm vehicles for inspiration. Attached is one of my adaptations… B2C10053-3B51-44AB-AC3F-7C8C26CD2F1F.jpeg 2AB8B12E-3389-45E7-A953-C87366E3E4A7.jpeg

the Dementus chariot bike from furiosa would be neat for this run .

I love the plan of the covered wagon ala madmax thunderdome !!

over the years 70’s smogged out land yachts have taken a bit of a shine to me , while smogged out and simply an uninspiring ride , they are comfortable as all get out and cheap to keep running !

Can’t wait to see the end result

I wonder if this car ever got to park in a garage before? I doubt it!

Started working on a few things...disconnected the oil pressure gauge, I'm removing it, on the grounds that it's just depressing to watch how low the pressure is.

Also started cruise control installation, put in a speed sensor under there, and mounted the globalcruise module and connected the throttle.

If it was a Pontiac Lemans, would it be a teepee on the back?

    probably!

I started working on the wagon conversion...welded in two pieces of steel to support the back of the cab.

Still a lot to figure out, but that will probably go faster once I start cutting things up.
