Wow, looking at the second pic of the tail lights, something dawned on me. They are black in the bulb area. No wonder they are not very bright! Duh!! Time to go to Walmart for a can of Krylon Fusion ultra silver. Pic to follow!

 

Or white. Nice work!

 

Thought about that too. I wonder which would be the brightest? Since people around here aren't the best drivers. Brighter is better!!

 

Do each side of each color and let us know!

Well here's one white, not dry yet,! More picks to follow. Should make a huge difference!!

 

See for yourself! Makes a big difference! Silver is out, two reasons, one, I don't feel like painting one silver, and two, white is bright! Plus the only silver I have is matte high temp silver.

 

White is best. Gloss white is even better.

 

Looking at that black painted light housing reminds me of a saying my mom had when following some old car with dirty tailites, she'd say "that looks like a star in a goats ***"!

New development, tail light lens. One lens is considerably darker tinted than the other. Tried lacquer thinner in the darker one, but the tint is in the gl***. So I ordered a new lens. Which ever it matches, I will have a set!! Go figure!

 

Getting after the trunk area, latch and missing body detail the manufacturer decided to leave out!

 

I recently had a nightmare, not the one attending school without my pants, one where the cable snapped on my remote trunk release on my roadster and I had no way into the trunk other than cutting my way in. The next day I ordered an electric popper and it is now installed. I use it as the primary trunk release and the cable is the backup in case the popper fails.

 

I have given that some thought! Being fibergl*** and only primer, a hole saw is the easiest. My license plate fastener screw in from the outside. Remove the plate and go for it! Wouldn't even see the hole!

 

You know, if that happens, I will inset the plate, make a hinge holder and make the latch manual through the hidden hole. Water proof also,!! Call that plan B.
