A beautiful car and amazingly it’s still in the family after all these years. An interesting modification is the sway bar mounted to the front frame horns.

Was surprised when I saw this photo recently of a Ford in service with London's Metropolitan Police Force. Photo was taken in Staines in summer of 1935. Staines is a town right at the outer edges of the MetPolice area, and a few miles south-west of where Heathrow airport now is. The beginning of the 1930's was really the formative years of London's Police force starting using cars and motorcycles for patrol work.
My late father was a London Policeman from 1956 to 1986, so I have always had in interest in the historic vehicles used by the Met Police during their existence.
