Cool, Kev...I see threads here tonight about starting a HAMB duece club and even a model-60 [33-34 ford] club. I think the comet club is appropriate too Can I join? I don't have a comet but I have this white astro van....it's kinda like a comet and I'm so jazzed to be in your club with all the other clubs!!!! Oh golly!

Got a friend with a 64 Comet wagon. Would it qualify with a late
    63 build date???

Comets are COOOOL ! . I want one ,a '61 thru '63 two door coupe.

  13. One star!! What an insult, Who did that? I bet it was Larry!!

  14. The rear's got 6-inch blocks and 3 leaves taken out? I'd think it'd be lower. What were you gonna do for the official lowering? I wanna drop mine in the back.

    Thanks,
    Kurt

    ps: 1-star Larry

Got it , 62 comet 144, 6 nutter and a merc o matic Thre car is very nice and solid , survived the trip from Ormand beach Back to Port St Lucie . Nothing makes ya happier than a shakdown of 180 miles , with only a slipping gen belt killing the battery , at least it was after I stopped for beer!( 2 miles from home! Maybe I shoulda paid attention when the GEN light flickered a few times.

I've got the Claiente trunk trim piece that I took off my wife's old car, would sell it for '32 Ford funds.:D

  20. Speaking of trim, I need RH quarter panel trim for my daughters Comet as the car was waisted since the above pics. Some chick in an SUV changed lanes without looking and drove my daughter off the road ind into a tall curb that folded the right front wheel under the car bending the frame in the process and took out the quarter panel on a telephone pole, ripping the rear bumper off . So after a battle with the insurance company In finally got a decent payment and have been fixing it over the last year. It has really taken alot of time from my othe projects but after all the work I put into that thing I wasn't about to let it go. Anyone have RH quarter panel trim?

yeah..that was 6 inches of block and three leaves out of it in back-even the shocks were gone..the front was sitting on the bumps...I thought it's be lower too..but I had to take the blocks out to take the tires off it to free up the stuck drums, and she didn't turn very much either-..and them when we loaded it on the trailer she kept gettin stuck on the rockers and she dragged the bumper from the time the front tires were about a quarter up the ramps till she was on..haha...what a pain in the *** to load..but I couldn't let her go down the highway not looking cool right...

My plans included a early 60's custom build...hydros at all 4 corners on prolly a four link in back...I was gonna flake it, shave the towers and throw a y block or FE in it...supremes or radirs..skinny whites..mild custom touches...one wild plan had sAustrailian falcon steering in it so Its be right hand drive..haha..my brain is scary when its left to wander...but I sold it due to needing some funds to live on...its a shame too..I miss her

    DAMMIT!
KIWI check hemmings motor news. There is a guy down in Dago that has the trim. The HMN also lists a junk yard in arizona. They have the quarters etc.

What a shame! Did you end up with a salvage ***le?
    - Joe

  28. I got them to let me keep the ***le and pay up enough money to cover the repairs, at first they said it was totalled and offered $2,000. I wrote a couple of letters proving actual value with cl***ified ads etc and they came around.

  29. 3 Stars, cool.
