  1. What kind of bike do you have and what are your plans. I got a 1972 Iron head sportster. First bike I have owned and it fits me well. (I'm a little guy) It's compltely stock except for an electric start, which crapped out on me the first 2 weeks I had it because they used cheap jap parts. The pinstriping was done by ogar mung about ten years ago and is still in decent condition. Over all it's a very clean bike and starts on the third kick everytime and I only paid $3000 for it. The only thing I plan on doing is replacing the seat with a solo spring seat and possibly drag bars. I want to keep it fairly stock because it's hard to find em like that.

  8. I like the look of that Triumph. Is it a 650? I almost bought a 650 with a blown head gasket for $1800, but then I found the iron head

Well, bikes have wheels and make neat noises so maybe they're not to off topic. Also, Hot Rods and other 4 wheelers show up at the JJ once in a while.

Here's a couple of mine. Just now putting the finishing touches on the 51 Pan.

Here's mine. Completely scratch built including frame, sheet metal done with a mallet and block of wood. I even designedand machined my own hand controls. 131 merch motor, baker 6 speed, legend air, forks are offa gsxr 1100 that I made my own triple trees and modified to take a wider axle. I built this at home in my garage in about a year.[IMG]

I like the bikes too. I started this one a couple years ago and work on it whenever I feel like it. It's a lot cheaper that the cars and takes up less space. It's a 74 Yamaha XS650. I built the hardtail section. From the seat post forward the frame is stock with all of the brackets and junk taken off. The rear wheel is the stock 18" only taken apart and polished and stainless spokes. The front is a 21", all polished and stainless spokes. The seat pan is a piece of stainless that I had laying around. The tank is homemade. It looks like Frankenstein from all of the cutting and welding I have done on it. The pipes are take offs from a local bike shop that he was going to scrap so I used some bends and straight sections. I have polished some more of the aluminum since the pictures have been taken. I need to get busy and finish it before summer.
The best part is I have less than $500 in what is setting there including the price of the bike.

Here is my '63 Beezer which i may be selling to big Bill, a fellow Road Zombie clubmate very soon:)

It used to sport clubman bars, but my back got tired in that position after long rides, so i put other bars on for a more comfort ride:)
