I stopped by this place today off I-5 about 80 miles north of Sacramento BIG M Automotive in Williams Ca. Looks like some great stuff and new arrivals all the time a must see if your in the market for 50's and 60's Mercury, Ford, Buick,Cadillac and Edsel's....... thanks to big al for letting me wander around and take pic's More Pics @ http://www.evil1customs.com/williams/williams_yard
Neat yard & John is a great guy to deal with! How about the three furys stacked on top of each other in the barn!...Craig
be careful when your in williams, the local sherriff is a*****head! found out if you ain't local he's gonna try a mess with ya.
It aggrevates me that we don't have junk yards like that in Massachusetts. I go to one that has some cars from the 50's but the bodies are destroyed. I need to take a trip west to some of these
Of course all this stuff is in N Cal, a million miles away from everyone. The Edsel is awesome, even still has its tail lights. Great score. Also looks like a '57 Plymouth Savoy coupe there with nice quarters. Now what's this about three Furys?
Those Edsel taillights are an easy (sorta) swap & look sweet on a '57 Fairlane.Had 'em on mine at one time.
Been by that yard on the 5 a billion times, could never get the family to let me stop.............urg! gonna be stoppin for sure on my spring trip......maybe be bringin a trailer.. thx for the pics!
The family and I take a trip up north about every six months and I alway see this place just off the freeway, and I've always wanted to make a special trip just to go there. Is there somebody there at certain times? or do you have to call in advance before you go? Thanks for sharing the pics. Tony
i was there 2 weeks ago, and some of the stuff out inthe yard is not for sale. i didnt see that stuff in those pics though. Also the stuff in the big barn is not for sale either. How about the fellas workin there, Omy, not john but the other guys, "AL" i think, definitly some interesting dudes. And what was up with the blow-up cow hanging by its back legs in the barn?????? wish i hadnt forgot my camera when i went.
It's amazing there's so much good stuff in that yard, it's RIGHT off I-5...lots of traffic. I've been there, but not at a time when I needed anything. Rumor has it the guys who run it know what they have and price accordingly...any truth to this? Bryan
Some yards have a lot of stuff because they always want double what its worth therefore they get to keep it.
damn, you west coast********s really got it made !!!!! i wish we had yards of solid cars here in rusty old illinois. damn. mike
My dad went down there and found to Lancer hubcaps in good condition. He's letting me run them on my Dodge. We've been talking about making another trip pretty soon.
dam I wish there was junkyards like that around here, so for the yards I went to are expensive or have nothing worth taking
anybody know if ya need an appt to go or is it just open and can ya just look around and is it open weekends??
Im not sure I had never seen the place before and I just happen to roll up and the gate was open ..I saw a fellow running a forklift (BIG Al) and asked him if it was cool to wander around he said go for it ..it cant hurt to call first .
