How many ladies are H.A.M.B.er's

Just wondering how many "girls" are here!!! My wife can't believe I can sit on here for --hours-- look at pictures and talk to "STRANGERS" ! I put myself in her "place" and kinda understand I would probably be jealous too, so I figured I would ask about other girls, and try to get her involved also, she does read along with me alot when I point something out to her, and she IS a car girl!!! Just wondering...Ken

 

My wife is PIXIEDUST, but shes a lurker...hardcore. She usually fills in the gaps when I miss something.
She is 40% traditional and 60% goldchainer....but I love her

My wife is a lurker here and usually checks in to see what's going on. She has been putting up with my car craziness for close to 50years, so most of what goes on here is just an extention of the local hot rod soap opera. Got her her own "street rod" a couple of years ago so now she feels a little more a part of what's going on. A '37 2dr w/350/350, air/heat, two tone red-black and leather interior is the opposite of my '32 2dr,flT black rough and ready heap but it is kinda nice once in a while to let her drive to an event and I get to just lay back and enjoy the scenery.

My wife is "hotrodchick". She hasn't posted anything in a long time be we usually read H.A.M.B. together. She's more of a gear head than most guys.

Anyone know what happened to "Samantha"? I havent
seen her on since 2005! Now shes a rockin lady HAMBer. Wonder if shes close with her Thunder chicken yet. Just wondering.

I build cars, trucks, tractors and my own personal ego. Certified Diesel and Heavy Equipment mechanic. Working towards my pipe welding and fitting certs.

I like vehicles and beer more then I like men so you won't be hearing MY husband ever saying "yah my wife is a lurker". Besides, cars and tractors are cheaper.

 

Lady HAMBer here---

Some of the first couple of people that welcomed me were female. I've been lurking here for awhile...Usually at car shows I get pissed because people ignore me and talk only to my boyfriend because he's the guy. Believe it or not, it's a little difficult to be a female gearhead. It can be really intimidating for women to get into cars. I sometimes feel like a complete anomaly.

I have been watching HAMB for awhile now. My Husband is on HAMB all the time it seems.....so I thought that I might as well be a HAMB Member too. I am proud to know more about cars and trucks than most of the "ordinary" women that I know. They ask me questions at my work about goofy sounds their cars make and what I think is causing it. Makes me feel pretty good too I might add! I am working on my 1962 Belair wagon. Parts or suggestions on Paint Color for my wagon is appreciated! Thanks!

Danyelle (Dirty Sis or Dirty midget) isn't regerstered but has logged more miles and knows more than a lot of the guys here .

 

Not to mention that she's super cute, polite, clean and doesn't urinate all over the bathroom floor like 3/4's of the guys on this board.

YES! I feel this way all the time. Its like hello! its the only girly colored car in the bunch (peach) and guys will go "whose car is that" and I'll say mine and they are like ok whatever whose car is it really. I actually had one guy tell me I wouldn't know the answer to his question, actually I didn't (backspacing of the rear wheels), but I was really pissed and told him so. One guy was messing with my dad's car and I caught him and yelled at him then he went over to my car and did the same to it and again I yelled at him and he said "what do you own all the cars here?" I said No but I knw a hell of a lot more about them then you!

Gracies around, she moved back to 'Bama and is working for a Michigan based company. Hopefully she'll be coming up and visiting us GMB's soon.

I dress up like a lady on Wednesdays, and some Tuesdays, does that count?

 

Flower doesn't post much, never has alot to say until you ruffle her feathers. She drives what she built. Her rod has been on the road since Viva last year, has over 9000 miles.......she is a hard core rodder at heart.

 

We should car show together and show the boys up. I've had guys say "let me see your fingernails!" As if I have to prove myself! On that note though, I work at a car dealership and I have received more sexism from WOMEN!! They say, "I want to talk to a man!" So I can't just pick on the men...it's pervasive from both sexes. By the by, when I do show my hands and how jacked up they look, everyone shuts up and beleives me!

 

Oh! I hadn't realized I actually made a lasting impression on you!
