I was at the local yard this week and I got to sneek in a camera to get some pretty good pictures. I also got some of cars in the woods. If you got any good pictures post them on this thread. http://s160.photobucket.com/albums/t170/78rm125/
The '59 DeSoto Explorer wagon is pretty cool, that one might be fixable. The '41 Chryslers looked like they had some salvageable **** on them too.
here are a few that i found.....no, the "T's" are not for sale, i have been trying for a year on the hot rodded one. says he's storing it for someone, and it'll sit there 'till he dies. good thing i'm young! it was all hooked up, channeled, nailhead, split bones, moon pedal.....the list goes on. i'd at least like to find out who he's storing it for!
OK, you wanted junk yard shots...here's a ****load. They're all from the same yard. As you can see, this place looks lost in time, but is still a functioning junk yard. Here's my first trip there.
I don't think I've ever seen wooden-spoke wheels in a junkyard before. Here's a pic from a yard in central TX.
KIRK! that yard is insane!!!!! how were you ever able to leave? i think i could spend a few months just rummaging thru that place! thanks for posting.
Wow Kirk I have see junkyards like that is the past but I's been years... I forgot about seeing that much old iron in one place. brings back allot of memories. It's funny thinking back and seeing 32 Ford parts that would normally sell for hundreds if not thousands on egay, just laying on the ground.
You guys are killin me I know of plenty of yards around here that look like that. And they say Colorado ****s ha!
The shaft of light down from heaven onto the pile of crankshafts makes me weep with joy. That place is incredible!!
Heres a place I took pics of over here in Washington. Whole cars in the yard arent for sale. Theres cars for sale in a different place of the yard.
If im not mistaken thats All American Cl***ics there in Vancouver? i have a hard time going to that place, not only is everything over priced but they wont let you buy the cars as a whole in the yard. its difficult to find projects up there because that yard for the last 30 or so years collected up everything and now its all rotting in the rain.
