I just wanted to say a special thanks to all the Indy guys out there who came over to see my car at the World of Wheels! I think it was great that you guys showed interest in my 1973 VW beetle even if it isn't a roadster or a hot rod.

I got Best in my class and this being my first car I built myself and my first car show it ment a lot to me.

I think the big group of hambers that hang out at GMC Bubba's (Bubba's hot rod shop) gave me a nick name , and after a lot of the people heard it, they all started calling me "TT".
I enjoyed the show even though we do it every year with one of Cliffs cars. But I enjoyed you guys most of all. You all realy made me feel like part of the gang.:p

    THANKS
    FROM
    "TT"

I did all the upholstery myself and some of it was hard. But I had fun doing it and did ok for my first time. I am glad she liked it, I was a little scared it was to much. Thanks

That pink vw was cool as hell!!! Me and the rest of the indy Hi-winders would like to thank you for braving the cold and and bringing it out to the show. The Road Apples...errrr...Road Rockets display area had a lot of cool cars and cooler people again this year. If you guys missed the initiation of two new members into their car club at the show you missed a HOOT!!!! The Wise brothers will probably never forget that!! :D :D Thanks to everyone that either came out as a spectator or took the trouble to display your rides. We appreciate your help and support. See 'ya all this summer.

If you are talking about the men in the grass skirts, that was so funny! Loved it. We all got a snicker at there expense but well worth it if the get to be members.

Also your club did another great job this year putting the show together and getting the correct people out to bring in the crowds. I am sure it was not easy. The weather was not our friend this year. Again great job to your club for making it fun! Glad you liked the car, it means a lot to me, that you liked TT ,it being my first show car of my own!!!:D

Cool, thanks! I still do need four bowling pins and they need to be the wooden ones and not the plastic ones. I thought they'd be easy to find but I guess the pinstripers have gobbled them all up!

    Unclescooby,
Try the pinstriper, named 'Lil Bill. He got several for the panel jam in Indy. For some reason, I think Tracy had something to do with getting them too, maybe not....

Yaeh, I got Litl Bill some pins but they were some newer plastic ones. I think the wooden ones are a little harder to find. I will keep my eyes peeled.

All of you guy's did such a great job getting that money in. I think you might have had more money come in if they put you in the Blue ribbon room again this year. But several of the guy's put some color on my pink mug. It was there all weekend. I love it. I gave a donation for that but wish I could have given a lot more. I will keep you in mind for the next toy I build. Wow I wish I could get as good as all you guy's. I practice all the time and I can do some killer flat lines. ha! But I am a painter at heart. Mostly animals ans half naked ladies. Cliff loves that.Ha Keep in touch and THANKS for all your hard work and fun ,you made the weekend great!

I called her over a week ago. She said she would call me back on the pins. I haven't heard from her yet. I will try to call her again in the next few days and ask again. I will ask if they are the wooden one's. I will keep trying.

I've been at every auction, every session, every year.

Pinstripes and traditional cars belong together. Careful consideration was given by those in charge about where to have it. Those spectators with an interest in the auction will seek it out no matter where it is.

This year was the best yet, dollar wise. An increase of nearly 40% more than 2006. You can't ask for much more than that in 1 year.

My hat goes off to 'Lil Bill and each of the stripers who worked that weekend

I stood at each auction, everyday. (and bought way too much too).

90% of those bidding and buying at each session were the car owners, show staff, the stripers and people with cuffed jeans.

Just my .02 but moving it back into the Blue Ribbon Pavillion will not help unless there are some serious concessions made to accomodate the stripers area. The Blue Ribbon Pavillion is considered prime real estate for the shiney cars and Commercial vendors.

Plus, I believe the stripers will have a hard time getting the large amount of space they enjoyed this year in the Blue Ribbon Pav.

You know, you are correct. Anyone wanting that knid of thing will find them no matter where they are. I did!!! See there is always a great mind for every point.
The only reason I said that was because it was so cold and dark, but it didn't matter now did it! They did awsome !!!!!!! I wasn't thinking of the cars and other vender who were there and the money it would take to put them in a space of that size.
We loved watching them and made countless trips over to see them and purchase things and even take pictures of them working there tails off. Thanks again

    TT,

I was in Indy and enjoyed seeing your car. I noticed the lettering on the back right off and that drew me in! Real nice ride!

I had my car there too parked not so far from you. Though my heart is with the Road Rocket stuff and real vintage toys, I got sucked into painting and polishing mine... It does have real home-done JC Whitney tuck and roll seat covers though, and spray can lacquer on the dash and I drive the snot out of it :)

Mine was the all red w/white upholstery 55 Bel Air (El Diablo) with an old cross ram, stick and 4.88 gears. Wish I had known you were a HAMBer, I would have said hey.

Oh yeah, I enjoyed all the striping and the grass skirts too. Looking forward to the Road Rocket Rumble already...
