You know what my favorite thing about this post is?

If asked to pick a favorite between the two, I absolutely could not... Each of them have their own little marks and characteristics that I love... Still, there is no way in hell I would change either in anyway...

    Really cool.

WOW that was educational for a young guy like me. Thanks for taking the time to spell out all the differences.

Now I would like to HEAR the two side by side!!! :D YEAH!!!

Jimmy's coupe looks so lonely sitting by itself w/out it's friends. :(

i "heart" brian bass. great show and tell!

  8. Three of my all time favorites!

If I had to pick, it'd be Bass's car simply because of the chrome wheels. I would'nt change a thing on any of them though.

    Where's Rolf's coupe?

Hmmm I'm a real nitpicker, I love both cars but Bass' more subtle chop gets the win for me.

  10. Thanks Brian for the side-by-side pics. I always liked the un-section on the GG, makes the chop look that much more. Both cars are awesome inspiration for the rest of us.

  11. Thanks for the post a pics, it does not get much better than that. Both cars are just incrediible. I'm so jealous.

Interesting roof treatment on that 29, like you grafted a 32 forward section on from the front of the windshield posts up and across. Then, of course, the cutdown 32 windshield frame finishes it off.
Nice work, at least you see out of the thing!!

    Awesome post!

Interesting to these two great cars next to each other.

    Thank you.

Those slanted A pillars KILL. I have wanted to see that for a long time on an A bone. Really changes the look and "intention" of the car. That 8 inch chop really makes the rear of the top (the area behind the coupe window) look just right. Maybe 7 inches would keep the look and be easier to see out of? Both cars are nothing but "right". Thanks for a real treat.

    I love them both.

But to break up the love fest a bit, I actually have a question...

In the side profile shot, the rear deck detail (the body lines right at the rear corners of the roof) is very different. I've never noticed this before, but the comparison makes it obvious.

Is this one of the differences between the '29 and '30 bodies, or has one been altered?

I seen the grenade a few years back in bakersfield, bad ass. Bad ass cars from the whole group. The other coupe is coming along just right. love that stance...

  22. The Model A has a '32 tank and the '32 doesn't...funny. Those are some really pretty cars.

Those are some fucking rightous rides my friends. Fucking rightious.

  24. So I notice now that the Green Grenade is not a '32, guess I should have looked more closely.

  25. Some similar parts, so different in looks. Damn fine on both accounts.
    Great comparisons Bass.

  26. Brian, have been watchin' the latest Mad Fabricators DVD. Love the little trip you take the veiwers on through the streets of Dallas. How do you keep those cars from rusting? Here in Florida, you'd have to lay on a coat of WD-40 everyday or it would turn to dust. Nice photo work of two coupes "juxtaposed" against cool clouds.
I just love this other movie clip of Jimmy White's Hemi coupe. Would love to see all 3 together. check it out if you've never seen it.
