In conjunction with the Carl Casper show at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds(city in training).A few of us are having a charity panel jam in the back room so if you're in the neighborhood stop by and say hello.Just look for the guy with the weird hat sitting next to the stuffed Pomeranian with the pink Metalflaked sungl***es and pink spiked collar standing on a skateboard. They had us up with the tuners and the sound blasters last year and everybody who attended is deaf now;including my dog. So this year they moved us back to the relatively quiet area.
Not quite Deb.Thanks for posting the pic of me with the infamous Mr. Norwell, but that was last year's model. This is the new improved version.Hope to see you there. Ray
WOW, I love that new one!!!!!!!! Sorry Ray, but we won't be able to make it. I have to work our warehouse sale on sat, and grandsons BB games on sunday. But I will see you in Detroit in a few weeks, maybe we can pin down a date for you to do the Lincoln
Thanks Ian;I hope so too.Supposedly we are going to be back in the rear room where things are relatively quiet. Most of the vendors are in there along with quite a few cars. I was talking with Shane tonight and it is supposed to be pretty warm there this weekend.I surely hope so;this arctic weather we've been having lately is starting to wear a bit thin.Could be worse though;we could be up where Peter Gunn lives!I figure the snow up there should be gone by August. Got the oil changed in the Trusty Tracker today after doing two cars and a flame layout on a bike.Going to pack up the car tomorrow afternoon and leave 1st thing Friday. That way I don't hit Indianapolis at rush hour AGAIN! I think I-465 is just a larger version of the Indy 500.Fifty mph speed limit and I'm doing 70 and people are going by me like I'm tied to a rock.Like Boston only faster. Found a neat piece at a second hand shop today for the auction.how about a cooler with a built-in AM/FM radio!figure I'll stripe it up and letter,"Sounds 'n' Rounds" or maybe,"Six Packs and 8-Tracks" on the sides.Or maybe it will be Fideaux's new travel case.
Hey Ray, any chance you could make a pitstop in Dayton for a late breakfast or an early lunch? I'd love a chance to see you and your better half for a few minutes... There's a Frisch's at Exit #58 on I-75 in Dayton. PM me if you need my cell number. Vance
Carl Casper is the furthest thing there is to a real Hot Rod event. I wouldn't waste my time going there.
Hey Ray. Do you by any chance have the address for the show. The Casper website is rather useless and I can't locate the address. I'm thinking of running down for the day.
the show is @ the convention center next to a big *** water park, ill be there.... im looking to get a panel( or panels), its a silent auction type or how does it work ? j.t.
Greg: My info says it's at the KY State Fairgrounds. Call Shane 6,his number is in the Database on our Yahoo group.Call after Noon.
Greg: The address for Freedom Hall(the auditorium where the show is being held)is 937 Phillips Lane in Louisville. The exit is right off I-65 but I can't remember the number.I'm not sure what would be easier for you coming from Cleveland;you could go I-75 and cut across I-71 but I'm not sure where the turnoff is that way. It's been several years since I went that way.You could also cut across I-70 and hit I-65 going south of of Indianapolis but that might be a bit out of the way.
I75 and I75 join in southern Cincinnati right before you cross the Ohio riverinto Kentucky. They split 15 miles or so later and I71S goes to Louisville. FYI
