Well done guys, a job to be proud of. Now put some miles on her. Just one tip from me, Before you pull out of the garage, check to be sure the hood is latched!!!
I enjoyed studying the fine workmanship yesterday at the tradex(WoW)move in.It was parked in the sunshine, outside the south end of 1rst building, talk about a kodak moment! The sunlight really made that paint come alive, and also made the gold metalflake vinyl inserts really sparkle.Awesome job!
Wow, that does ****! I've heard that the hood latches on these early chevy's and pontiacs have a tendancy to do that..even when they are closed. There's a local guy with a very nice 50 pontiac, chopped as well, that the same thing happened to. I plan on doing something on my 53 as a back up just in case the latch decides to let go. I can't afford another chopped windshield.. Tony
Mike it was great to meet a fellow HAMBer,other than my nephew, you're the first one i've met in person.
Your car turned out awsome. Makes me what to 'finnish' mine even more. What size tires are you running?
The tires are Coker 670 X 15, front wheels are stock 15 X 5 and the rears are Wheel Vintiques 15 X 6. Here's a pic with the stainless on the rear window. Thanks again for all the compliments, wish I was at Paso this year.
I think I just came a little bit. That car is GORGEOUS!!!! I like the name "Fool's Gold" too. It fits. Very nicely done!!!!!! Why didn't I see this before? Must have been asleep. Haha.
I don't think it matters how old a post is, as long as the car it's about is that ***y. Beats the hell out of arguing over tractor parts...
